Well, I was fooling around with the mage fire talents the other day and realized that the talent that brances off of Dragons Breath is a little...overpowered, IMO. So I made a build based off of that. Here it is,
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=o0eVc0zhzZcEscohhuVurMs. I mean, if you are strictly pvp, with a little bit of pve mixed, it will rape all. Think about this while you're looking over the build, Polymorph, Pyroblast if you can, fireball as they're running towards you, dragons breath, proc the branch, instant FlameStrike, Blase Wave, Instant Flame Strike, Presence of Mind, instant Pyro. Lots and lots of burst damage. IMO would rape a lot of classes in pvp. =)

i'm seeing ridiculous synergy between talents here
free 4% spell haste!
the point in arcane barrage can be added to netherwind presence for +2% more spell haste, i just like having another instacast for when fireblast is on cooldown or very mobile fights (you can cast it every other gcd)
improved scorch is changed to increase both arcane and fire dmg by 10%
incinerate increases crit chance of scorch, fireblast, AND arcane blast
the points in focus magic/torment of the weak are just fillers, and you can take them both out to get 2/2 magic attunement if you'd like. i just figure focus magic is a great spell to cast at the start of pulls, and if you're the only mage (like in a 5 man), you can put it on every mob that the tank pulls at the start for a marginal but effective nonetheless increase. and +2% dmg on snared targets, which would be in effect pretty often as there are a LOT of snares in this game (frostbolts, hamstring, crippling poison, feral druid infected wounds talent, mind flay, frost shock, the list goes on...)
missile barrage gives a chance for arcane missiles cast time to be cut in half (sick dps increase, especially if you're lucky enough to proc clearcasting to go along with it) and since fireball and arcane blast are both used very often as an arcane mage, this should be proccing pretty often if there is no hidden cooldown
of course, this still lets you do the great AP PoM pyro macro, which should be hitting for over 10k in the xpac :D. and arcane flows lets you do that every TWO MINUTES! OP!
not to mention AB is being changed to increase dmg instead of reduce cast time. so AP + AB spam = insane dps (at the cost of draining your whole mana bar in 15 seconds)
imo stacking int and spell dmg would be the way to go with this spec, and whatever haste you can find. best spec if you're a gnome. you would still need the same amount of spell hit as a frost/fire mage. and spirit shouldn't really be sought after with this spec (didnt spec arcane meditation), since you can easily evocate and burn mana gems. i suspect arcane mages in the expansion would still be holding onto
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?item=30720 as they will be burning through a LOT of mana gems. possibly even throw in the caster's alchemist stone for even MORE mana (mana gems and mana pots are on seperate cooldowns).
on a typical tank-n-spank 10 minute boss fight, your ideal dps style should be....
slow dps for the first 30 seconds, stacking 5x scorch paired with low threat arcane spells, try really pushing your tank's TPS. once you're at roughly 100% of the tank's threat, invis...then pop a mana gem (you should be near full mana once again), then AP PoM pyro + AB/FB spam (Arcane Blast for higher DPS, Fireball for higher DPM), try to burn through roughly 65% of your mana if you can, find a place where you can evocate and get all 4 ticks off, then steady dps with the rotation below, while APing and popping mana gems/pots when the cooldowns are up. try to be at 20% mana when your 8m evocation cooldown is up (which should happen around the 9 minute mark). at that point threat and mana should really not be an issue (as the evocation just brought you up to near-full mana), you can do one final AP PoM pyro, AB/FB spam until the boss is dead. other dps classes should have no chance keeping up with the dps you're dishing out.
of course your rotations would have to be altered to adjust to factors such as high movement fights, tank threat reduction (knockback, wing buffet, etc.), aoe phases, etc.
spell rotation with this spec would be along the lines of...
Alternate between casts of Arcane Blast and 2x Scorch (note that the arcane blast debuff is 3 seconds, so if you have a lot of spell haste you might want to scorch thrice to avoid stacking the debuffs), once you're at 5x scorch stacks replace scorch with fireball.
....while popping arcane missiles on every clearcast/missile barrage proc, refreshing scorch every 30 seconds,
and APing every 2 minutes (especially on boss fights, for max dps)
i suspect arcane blast with no debuffs should still be the top DPM spell for mages and arcane blast with 3 debuffs should also still be the highest DPS spell for mages (+75% dmg at 3 debuffs)
and if its a mobile fight your spell rotation would look like....
ABarrage, focus magic, AB, Fireblast, AB....
...while sneaking as many scorches in there as you can (1.5 sec casts, it should be easy) because it increases both arcane barrage and fireblast dmg
i have absolutely no doubt that arcane mages should have any trouble topping charts, and perhaps elitistjerks can tell us if two t5 is worth holding onto (+95% arcane blast dmg? wow!)

http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=of0i0u0u0oZcE0bRhIuVubh0xi will stick to deep fire dps... with mana sustent... just for raiding purposes... i dont like pvp
Calling it deep without even being able to take the end talent?
Deep fire, assuming Frostfire Bolt works fine as a replacement for Fireball in PvP. Fiery Payback and Firestarter both have me drooling :)
