You want both weapons to be as slow as possible, so that your Windfury procs hit as hard as possible. Think about this; a 50 DPS fast weapon does 50 DPS + Windfury procs, and a 50 DPS slow weapon does 50 DPS + Windfury procs, only the slow weapon's Windfury procs hit much harder. Hmm. Which will do more damage?

You want two fairly slow weapons (I, personally, use two
Dragonstrikes
), optimally have your MH and OH the same speed to benefit the most from your flurry procs.

the slower the weapon the more it profits from flurry
Might want to read the link in your sig and what you did to my quote.

Nothing in that quote of yours from the EJ forum supports your "you want a slightly faster MH than offhand to benefit from windfury more" theory.

Many shaman will correctly use a slow MH weapon but use a fast OH such as a dagger, generally because its easier to find fast OHs than slow ones. This combination however means that your OH is much more likely to be the first one to hit outside of a WF cooldown and will "steal" the potential chance to proc, placing your main hand on lockdown. In order to maximize the potential for MH procs the OH needs to be as slow as possible.
True enough, it only states that the OH's speed needs to be the slowest or equal, which doesn't - atleast by my standards - mean that the MH has to be a bit faster.

Exactly. gondorath calling me wrong for saying having both the same speed is a good idea was kind of a slap in the face so I wanted to see where he got this idea.

I personally prefer slow weapons. WF on both and enchant like Crusader, Exe or Mongoose.
