My opinion for any class (though some can do HP at 58 just fine) is to do the first few Hellfire peninsula quests to get those green quest rewards that beat pre-bc epics, and then go back to Azeroth.
The XP is half, but all the mobs also have about half the hit points.
Ultimately what this will do is put you in a better situation when you turn 70, you'll probably still be doing Nagrand quests, leaving SMV, BE, and Netherstorm quests to be pure money generators for your flight training.

i say at 58 just kick all the qs u had from Azeroth out the door and lvl to 60 or 61 in out land more fun and better gear but 57 might be a bit low.

my friend was leveling his paladin in outlands at 55-56ish. it was a bit low imo and he was kinda struggling but he still managed to level to 57 i think.
i probly avoid outlands until 58 imo.

I went outland at 58, I found grinding the helfire mobs much more intressting than the old, boring as hell, quests in Azeroth. However that was only about 3 weeks after BC came out and everything was preety new and intressting. I hit 70 in netherstorm (skipped SMV and BEM), this was probably coz i spent most of my time in instances which is what i rly enjoyed doing.
