Can anyone plz give me advice or help on connecting WoW. I just moved into my dorm at my university and tried to play WoW, apparently it’s blocked. It said unable to connect and then something about ports…First of I don’t know where the ports are or where to find them and what to do with them once found. I tried to run some proxies like (SocksCap and FreeCaps) but I don’t know how to set them up right so that they'll let me play. If theirs an easier way or if someone can help me set them up PLZ I’ll really appreciate it.

The port will be on the router/switch that is used by your dorm. Do you have a RA there who can point you to it? It requires at the very least port 3724 to be allowed through. By default, switches and routers with port security block ports until they are freed. They usually have an allow list on them somewhere.

Don't be so quick to assume it's the school's fault XD
Couple questions to the OP.
1. Are you plugging directly into the wall, or is there a router or other device between you and the actual connection?
2. Are you using a dorm residential network? (ie. the school is providing the network)
3. Are you running any software firewall?
If your answers are Yes, Yes, and No then follow GenXCub's advice and get into touch with an RA or the department of your school that runs the network. Specifically you're looking for them to open up ports 3724, 6112, and 6881-6999.
If you answered no to the first question or yes to the third question, make sure that the device/software is configured to allow the above ports through.
edit:
4. Does your internet work at all? (can you browse the web?)
