Same thing with Spell Reflect. It won't work against most bosses.
I'm not so sure about that, so far people are reporting that it works fine against caster bosses in northrend instances.
Anyways, I think the max runic power AMS can generate is something like 25-30.

Same thing with Spell Reflect. It won't work against most bosses.
The reason Spell Reflect doesn't work, is simply that on a succesful reflect, the tank would do more damage than intended back to the boss, which in turn would make tanking a lot easier, which would force Blizz to redesign encounters.
This ability is basically a shield, just like priests and mages have. Ofcourse it's not the same, but it's the same general idea.
