Set your trap target as a focus:
/focus
Then have a series of buttons...
/cast Distracting Shot
/stopcasting
/cast Concussive Shot
/stopcasting
Using a set of Focus macros is crucial to being an uber-trapper. Also remember: Distracting Shot doesn't break CC, so I usually hit my trap target with it
while
it's frozen to make sure it doesn't go after the healer when the trap breaks.
Making sure you have a frame for your focus target, and having target-of-target enabled, can help ensure your trap target is stuck on you like glue; you can always check to make sure you are its target, so you can always get it to walk over the next trap. With Concussive shot and a with a bit of kiting, you can keep it trapped indefinitely.
Daefaroth
's sequence works well too, but I like using a focus-macro for this reason: since the focus-macro is so simple to use you can use your pet as an off-tank, and you can effectively CC two mobs at the same time without breaking a sweat. There's nothing that makes a tank or a healer go "Wow, I want to run with this guy all the time" like keeping your CC target under control, and picking up someone else's failed CC with your pet and saving the healer.
