sorry as i said I'm not a tech person at all and have no idea about the graphics card or anything like that, we have two computers here and this happens on both of them and has only been doing so for the last 2 or 3 days and doesn't happen to anyone else who plays wow on these two computers just me and my hunter

Sounds to me like you might have to update your graphics card driver version. That's just my guess anyways.

Since the problem appears to only be affecting your character, I would follow the advice above (turn off your addons, clear your cache), and see if that helps first.
If not, there are a couple of things noone has mentioned yet...
1) Where is your hunter when the freezing occurs? If your character is located in a heavily populated area (faction capital, Shattrath City or Isle Of Quel Danas, for example) it could be that the large amount of things going on at once is just too much for your computer. Does the problem occur when you are in less populated areas?
2) Are the graphics settings for your hunter the same as for the other characters that are being used on the computer. Never checked to see if performance options are client specific or account specific. Try lowering everything in the video options to bare minimum and see if that helps.
3) Are you running any other programs at the same time as WoW (especially ones that might not be being used when other people are playing. These might include Ventrilo, MSN, Teamspeak, your internet browser, etc, etc. The more programs you have running, the less memory and processor time is available to run WoW. Try running with the bare minimum of programs (antivirus/firewall), and try lowering the theme settings in windows to the basic one. Does this improve performance?
4) Have you tried recreating the crash with another character? Use another character on the same account, with the same graphics options, and go to the same area. Does the problem persist?
5) This one just occured to me. Do you use Quest Helper addon? if so, update it to the newest version. I had all sorts of issues with it after the last patch, that would cause the client to lock in certain areas.
I would personally not bother with a repair install. Its a long, boring process, and since the problem is only occuring on your character, and on multiple clients, it's needless.
Hope you get it sorted.

Well i think i got it, i worked out that it was to do with two green items in my bag, when i ran the mouse over them the game froze, so i turned off my mods, logged back on and i could now move the mouse over them /woot i got rid of the greens then turned my mods back on and everything is fine now. No freezing lol ^_^
Thank you very much for all your suggestions, now i have to call my mats who is coming over tomorrow to 'fix' the problem
