When building such a template you want to ask yourself what you get and what you give up.
From demonology, you get a bit of stats, 30+dmg and +15% shadow damage.
Compare this to ISB + Bane, which also allows you to take UA, and you see that you are losing much more than what you gain from a traditional affliction spec.
It's the same for a demo/destro 40/21 actually, you only get static increases in the bottom of the démonology tree instead of the scaling increases you get in deep destruction (Demonic Knowledge vs S&F). This can make 40/21 better at lower levels of gear (though arguably those level of gear would make affliction even better) and the classical 21/40 better at higher levels of gear.
In short, a classical cookie cutter affliction/felguard/destruction tree will be better than yours in most cases.

i never really looked too deep into it. i was just bored on the talent calculator and thought it could work because of saccing succubus.
i had never really intended to use, just too see if it could be used as a viable build.

40/21/0 is pretty good for pvp, it lacks effectiveness in raids but in pvp it's gold against any class that can't dispell your corruption and siphon life. against resto shaman curse of tongues + corruption siphon life and drain life are enough to keep their heals to themselves. In av it's perfect, you end up doing quite a bit of damage since most healers are more concerned with the rapid loss of hp than loss over time. It keeps you mobile and 15% increase to your 3 most basic dots is irreplaceable when in mass battles, and even one on one with rogues and ms warriors. I use it in farming as well, 3 dots dont even need to tick completely for any 70 level mob to get downed, so all in all for pvp/farm 40/21 i prefer to unstable affliction.

Aethros that's a dumb build but not as idiotic as the firs the one by timmytwotoes I mean why do you need master summoner with Imp? But the second build can be useful in pve if Improved Imp is switched with Improved Voidwalker it can help in preventing wipes then.

I think at some point most locks have flirted with a Demon Sac Succy Affliction build.
In all honesty though, it just doesn't work. I gave the build a shot at both PvP and PvE, and the fact that you lose the manabattery/DPS/CC potential of whatever pet you use cripples a lot of the versatility you have as a warlock.
The days of Demon Sac are pretty much gone, especially when this patch hits. But, this means you are thinking outside the box and looking for new builds, rather than just cookie cutting, which I commend you for.
