Would
this
be valuable spec? I don't really want to go down in Ret for any reason, and Dev aura seems quite good, since most tanks will be using Retri (or should be, for more threat), and warriors/druids don't even get choice. The other option was to spend the last 2 points in Imp Hammer of Justice instead of Divine Guardian, so I can kinda save my butt every now and then until the tanks grabs aggro (5/10mans).

This is also a build I'm willing to try out on my holy paladin as well.

The 2 in consentration aura can go walkabout but essentially i use / would use that build on the beta =P (minus 9 points in prot cos i suck).

Why would you get Divine Guardian? I don't see the benefit to it.
DG is just another way to control aoe damage. It looks pretty interesting right now, but i want to try it out in raids and see if i'd actually survive the 30% raid damage.
btw, DG activates when you pop divine shield, meaning you take 0 damage while negating 30% of raid damage if I'm not mistaken

your not.
DG is good for any healer cos if you bubbling the s*** has hit the fan so reducing raid damage at the same time is nice. Why it is in the prot tree i don't know though because for a tank DG is only useful if you failing to tank.

THis is my WotLK beacon build:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=sxAzgMzGVu0xRtxMth0c
and here is my WotLK Sheath build:
http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=sxAztMzhVuMxRxZVfhxb00o
(i am not 100% sure on this.. there are a few variables that Id need to see for myself which is better.)
Personally i feel that the sheath is best for lvling.. beacon for raids... But that remains to be seen.

Pyro, DG is nice for the encounters where there's no threat or for the time when the boss casts an AoE spell regardless of spec, and for tanking, it's nice for OT's to absorb the damage, although I will strongly agree that it can be better place elsewhere than protection.

30 yards is actually a pretty big number. Unless you are staying at max range, you won't need that.
