Hey everyone! First time poster, long time reader. I just had a few questions about my druid. I have gone feral my whole time leveling to 60, and now i decided to go boomkin, I wanted to try out what it was like to do spell damage and what not. When i got to outlands i did a few quests and replaced some of the gear i had with the new intellect and spirit gear. But anyways the real question that i am asking is, is it a good idea to level to 70 as boomkin? and if not what should i do.
thanks

It's not bad to do it, it's just a bit slower than Feral, and you're probably less likely to get into an instance group (since Ferals, even without the best gear, can still tank).
If you're fine going to 70 without instancing (which is quite easy, and actually faster), balance is perfectly groovy.

Ye did good. at 60, theres a lot of OL gear that makes leveling as boomkin viable. however, you shouldnt be focusing on spirit/intellect gear. you only did that when +spelldamage gear wasn't readily available, i.e. lvls 1-58.
Now that quests, mobs, and instances drop exponentially more +dmg gear, you can easily collect a good amount of balance gear, and really know why we're called BOOMchickens.
now, don't get me wrong, you also need a good amount of intellect and stamina so that you don't go oom every 2 pulls, and so that you don't die very often either.
remember to always have ample amounts of water/food available, and when you eat/drink remember to shadowmeld if your a nightelf.
Caldhyrean has an excellent guide about all things boomkin, and it goes into far more detail than i ever could, so if you need any more information, go there! :)
also, if you find that you dont like the boomkin playing style, or that you prefer tearing things to shreds, feral is perfectly viable for leveling as well, being able to tank will also help you get into dungeons and get blue gear as well.
