The Worst Moments of Being a Healer...

I think it is very interesting to read all these worst healing moments comming from the perspective of a holy paladin healer. I have had some dodgy groups in my time which i found entertaining to annoy. The old faithful overhealing meters how well you have served me, only once did someone complain about my overhealing and when they did so i promptly turned around and spammed nothing but holy light for the rest of the run (even if they were missing 200hp), my mana pool was at 28k buffed durring that run.
I also find it interesting that priests get told how to heal more than other classes (judging by the comments), from experience whenever someone tells me how to do my job i just tell them i'll do their job and they can do mine if they think they can do better (i always have both my tank and dps set with me).
Anywho that got slightly off topic but figured i might share, and to anyone who has been a victim of tard groups just remember that it takes 10secs to replace them but at least 10mins to replace you.

Stuff.
And you always get another, don't you? The one person who yells "I'm going to bring up old crap just to annoy people!" Of course there are exceptions, those "general rules" just aren't that general. Accurate the majority of the time, sure, but I don't won't people to take them as the laws of instances entirely. Everything needs a grain of salt.

I just had mine today! Nobody waited for me to have my drinks and just rushed forward ignoring my warnings. Again, just a minute later when I was drinking mana, the tank pulled again. I told him then he should wait for me. Then they all asked me to buff them. I said I willl but am afraid they will pull the mobs while I'm doing it. Well, I started buffing and once I was with less than half mana bar, they pulled.
I said you have to consider me at least the minimum. They said "Don't Cry!"
At this stage when we got to the boss I didn't feel like healing all that much... Why should I heal arrogant people who care about only themselves?
Exactly the same the last time I healed. I left WoW for the entire summer after that. (Just came back.) I think the devs need to rethink healing, its just not that much fun. My priest is 74 and my highest character in the game, but I find myself playing alts, a druid, hunter, warlock. I just don't find healing all that much fun and I don't really want to be force to heal on my druid. Makes me want to not play a hybrid and just play a pure dps class.

Then don't heal :)
Personally, DPS bores me, I love healing.

If nobody waits for me to drink, I just let them die and they can find another healer.
Then theyll learn their lesson.

im sure all healers have experianced these kinds of problems, i play a priest and MP5 isn't as useful as our mana gains from spirit. i had something like this when i was doing Hellfire Ramps (that was like a year ago) and every time i needed a drink they ran off pulling. 2 wipes later, i yell "If you just let me get a damn drink every once in a while, we wouldn't have this happen!" but as a ignorant group goes, they dont listen so i stayed back and saw them get murdered. i laugh my ass off telling them your fault not letting me mana up. and i left 2 minutes later having them beg for a rez for a while. 1 of them threatened me that he'd report me. but you can't report someone for not doing what they want.
#1 rule for a successful group: Don't ignore the healers!

In trying to help a guildie gear up, I came to help him on a heroic run of Ank'ahet. I knew he was undergeared, but I've been lots of times, figured it wouldn't be too bad. Big mistake, our group was comprised of:
1. A DK tank with 23K health and not Def capped
2. A arcane mage in low level pvp gear
3. A hunter without a brain, or any gems in his gear
4. The dps DK I was helping.
5. Myself, disc priest in full conquest level gear, with a few triumph pieces
Not a one was capable of more than 1500 dps (yes even with aoe), and the tank did not know how to handle the casters, and let pats wander into him, so I kept eating 15K shadowbolts while trying to keep the group up, even on several NASTY double group pulls. Divine hymn, pain supression, and shadowfiend on heroic trash is never a good sign. I urge more caution, and we continue to the boss.
So we get to Elder Nadox, and one of our dps goes AFK midfight, bringing our group dps to a whopping 3300 or so. Naturally, the Guardian phases drag on, and my healing aggo (fade every time it was up, too!) causes me to constantly need to penance myself (tank kept trying to use D&D, instead of taunt), and eventually the invincible adds overwhelm my shields/penance/pain suppression and I go down. The tanks response: "How the ef did you die?"
I calmly explain the aggro mechanics involved in the encounter, and we give it another go with our full dps...and eventually the Elder drops. We move on to the Teladram orbs. I can't overstate the burst the tank is taking, making no attempt to interupt those nasty spells, or mitigate with AMS...healing this is like tank healing Koralon, and I get that debuff from the Eyes of Teladram that spellocks if you cast with it on, so I dispel it...and the tank goes down on the gcd even with my shield/pom on him. Once again he gets indignant, and I say I've had enough, wish them well, and move on.
Some headaches just aren't worth it.
