well my friend and i have started a new realm, we got the 3x exp stuff so we are duel boxing each other if one of us isn't one. were currently lvl 50. My spec atm is all in fire, im kinda new to mages so i was wondering if there's a better spec to get once we hit 60 and go to outland.
Thank you for listening and i look forward to your suggestions.

I've done nearly every spec once. Honestly I'd say go deep fire till you can switch over to frost the moment you can get Water Elemental, it'll turn you from a high damage, burst, to a lower damage, but MUCH more able to survive.
I did that till 63, then now I've switched to the POM/Pyro set up, which is mostly just arcane. I love it, despite what people say, arcane is a mana barrel, I drink about 75% less with the build in the FAQ than I did as deep frost.

It's a matter of personal preference.
If you're looking for faster killing go fire but you'll have less mana efficiency than frost.
Frost is more mana efficient but it's a bit slower.
Then there's AoE Frost which is for killing loads of mobs at the same time(AoE grinding) and I personally prefer it.
If you think you might want to try AoE grinding, it's not just about the spec. The pulls and the way you blizzard is important so I recommend having a look at these before deciding anything:
