Need help for new 70 prot pally.

How should i gem for this paladin who just dinged 70? Avoidance, Defense or Stamina? What instances can i look forward to tank for and what pieces should i aim for in instances?

Thanks for the reply, it's my friend's Prot Pally though and i didn't feel safe giving him advice as my own Pally only tanked up to kara.

First of all, get rid of the spell damage gem.

Enduring Talasite will be fine for the short term - but at 468 defense he's only going to need a couple more items to reach the defense cap. Personally, I'd focus more on getting the stamina up.

Things to do:

Get to work on Aldor reputation for the Vindicator's Hauberk and shoulder enchants
SSO dailies for the Sunward Crest. Archmage's Guile would be an upgrade to his current weapon.
Old Hillsbrad and Black Morass are a priority. Revered with Keepers of Time for helm enchant, Timewarden's Leggings, and the Continuum Blade (if he hasn't PvP'd for a gavel by then), Andormu's Tear and the Warchief's Mantle will immediately take their place in that tanking set.
Dabiri's Enigma from a Netherstorm quest chain
Get a tanking cloak. Cloak of Eternity can be had off of the AH, or run Steamvault to get the Devilshark. Run Steamvault anyway for Cenarion Expedition rep and the revered necklace.
"How to Break Into the Arcatraz" quest chain for a tanking belt. Alternately, get the Belt of the Guardian crafted
