Crazy enchanting oversight by blizzard

I've just come across what must be an oversight when it comes to enchanting.
I recently took up enchanting and it came to my attention that I can't enchant my other alternate toons
soul bound items. This is nuts. I can do other players but not my own. Why can't blizzard patch a non-trade box like they have in my trade window, used for enchanting and picking locks and put one in my mail box.
This way I could take a soulbound piece and send it to my enchanting toon..have him enchant it and send it back. Simple. Lets go..get it done. Thank you

This is being covered by inscription, they will be able to make Vellum which enchanters can put any of their enchants on to mail to alts or sell on the AH, so no more sitting in IF spamming to find an enchant :) It was stated somewhere that it would not work with elite enchants (ex. executioner or mongoose), but lesser enchants like savagery or crusader.
It just balances the economy, so you need other players for things... But this helps a lot for the those pesky enchants like +armor or +ap.
Huh? no.
It works on all enchants.
What you read was that the currently listed parchments don't work on high level enchants. The parchments all have level ranges on them, just like items, so you need a higher level parchment to put say mongoose on the AH.
Just to prove it, here's the item for mongoose (

Nope, zul is right, I read that as well. The plan is that there will be some enchants which you cannot trade via the AH but can only do in person... they didn't want to "remove the face-to-face aspect of enchanting" entirely.

The only blue post I can find on it is extremely old... back in the "this is what we're thinking about doing" stage. It may still be the case, but mongoose and executioner both have enchant scrolls, so at the very least his examples are wrong.

It's not nearly as bad as the crusader -> mongoose change. I still haven't seen a melee weapon enchant that beats out mongoose, except for maybe the +hit rating one. 120 agi is still quite a bit at 80.

they didn't want to "remove the face-to-face aspect of enchanting" entirely. It won't go away anyway. I'm an enchanter and i only craft for people who bring the mats. I'm going to be very wary about trying to sell things at the AH where i have to shell out my own mats and risk getting undercut by other enchanters, i'd rather still do it the old way.
For people saying "if you're undercut then you're selling too high" go look at your AH for the number of people selling stacks of netherweave cloth below the price they could get for it from NPCs (3g for 10 bandages, and no AH fee) before supposing people set up price rationally.
