Here is the link to my armory... sadly my armory has saved itself in what I call my "dps" or dailies gear, there are a few small alterations to my gear while tanking. (Sorry I dont know how to link items properly as Im new to the forums) ><
http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Ravenholdt&n=Melybear
Cloak I use while tanking -

Staff I use while tanking -

Ring I use while tanking (replaces green) -

Basically my question is, what other gear should I be looking to get or what stats should I be looking to have in order to tank heroics / Kara. Currently I have about:
20.2k armor
66.2% dmg reduc.
15,200-ish health self buffed (often 17 or 18k fully buffed, fort, kings, etc)
25%-ish dodge
Secondly I ran regular (yes JUST regular) MgT last night and it was a 2.5 hr disaster in which we eventually finished, but not before wiping about 10 times after the first two bosses. Is there any way for a druid to effectively hold mass agro, demo roar and swipe dont seem to be cutting it. Or am I perhaps doing it wrong? Or do I need some spiffy mod that allows me to see what enemies are hitting my group so that I can run around and continuously growl (taunt) enemies off of them? Or perhaps have I discovered the limitations of the "bear mode" as a tank? Any way around it? =P
Any feedback would be much appreciated. Or if I left out some information that is needed to help with commenting please let me know.
Thanks.

You don't have a head enchant. The SSO revered one is nice.
You can tank Kara and heroics just fine with what you have (though your low dodge will make prince and nightbane a potential issue)
As far as MgT, how many CCers did you have with you? You should be able to hold 3 targets comfortably by tab-swiping and mangle. Were your DPSers just going bonkers on random targets?
The unfortunate thing about MgT is that no matter what tank and healer you have, having 3 CC classes (with 1 being a warlock) is ideal. It sucks that it has to be that way, but the truth hurts.

Yeah, I get that swipe isn't great, but by tab-swiping, I mean getting extra white hits in. On a group where I have to handle multiple targets, I pull by starting the fight with Regrowth + Rejuv + Lifebloom and then Moonfire to get extra aggro on all targets (yes, you need them to actually heal you to get it, so I try to get hit asap), then I do a Mangle (plus white hit), and swipe, then tab over to get another white hit on target 2 and then target 3, then focus back on main target.

Thank you all muchly for your replies, it has all been very useful information. I need to start building my rep with cen exp for that Earthwarden. =)
And Mareimbi tyvm for that article and your insight to threat generation. I have been using swipe to attempt to hold mass agro, but in fact I should have been manually switching targerts and using lacerate, etc instead of swipe spam (esp due to my lack of attk pwr).
Other than omen, does anyone know of a mod that can be used while tanking that shows what mobs are attacking what player?
And...
Is there anything similar to the popular arena mod (proximo) that shows all of the enemy players on one bar, allowing them to be easily clicked in a crowd, except one that works for PVE mobs?
Thanks again.

I don't know of a mod that shows running targets. You really just have to have your squishy healer far enough away, and in a position where you see the mob run toward him.
For heal aggro, put your weapon on your bars somewhere, and click it back on when you switch to bear. I'm actually not a big fan of using heal aggro for multiple mobs for the main reason that I usually use a cast on 2 off targets with bigger pulls. It's pretty hard to do that and still have HoT's ticking long enough for aggro. Regrowth, starfire 3rd, MF 2nd would be best. You can use wrath instead of SF to allow yourself more time if needed. If you wanna get crazy, you can use, regrowth-wrath-mf-rejuve-bear and put your weapon back up while maul is active and you are spamming for that first mangle. It's a bit complicated, and you will get resists in heroics especially. Maybe find a staff or MH with +spell hit rating and damage, then you can swap it back for the more stam on your normal weapon. This is getting pretty advanced tho, and kinda tough to pull off since you have to swap targets while casting other spells and use your gcd's properly.
For aoe non elites, use MF to pull, barkskin, hurricane on top of yourself. Make sure the healer HoT's you, and/or bubbles you before casting. As long as they stay out of body pull range, and they will no get aggro from ticking HoT's already on you prior to combat. They MUST stay out of aggro range tho, and their next cast will pull them into combat.
