'ello everybody. Sorry if this was asked already but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere on Wowhead or anywhere else on the internet. Ok here's my question: after picking one side from that starting quest, is there any way to go back to a Neutral reputation with both factions?
I picked Aldor because I thought I would stick with them for a while, but I ended up barely doing any quests. So then I tried to do that quest with the basilisk eyes to get my Scryer rep to neutral, but that led my Aldor rep to decrease to Unfriendly. I enjoyed using both inns and banks at my convenience and also being able to get some recipes and the like from both factions.
So does can anyone answer this question for me? Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's no way to be allied with both factions since they hate each other. You have to pick one faction. If you already got to neutral using the repeatable rep-turnaround quest, you just need to turn in the appropriate marks to gain reputation with one of the factions in order to increase your rep. The rep reversing quests are not available once you reach Neutral.
Does that make sense?

So after you pick a faction from the quest you can't be neutral with both sides anymore?

You can't allied with both the Aldors and Scryers at the same time. You can pick which side from the "welcome to shattrath" quest, and you can switch to the other side by doing a repeatable quest that you can only do up until Neutral.
I'll try and you walk you though it.
You pick Aldors from the quest.
You decide that you want to go with Scryers instead.
You pick up the repeatable turn quest and do it over and over until you reach Neutral with Scryers (aldor rep doesn't matter).
Once you reach Neutral with Scryers, you need to turn in Marks (which typically drop off Blood Elf NPCs in Outlands) in order to increase your rep with them.
