Most people use unit frames like Grid and Pitbull. I'm not good at setting them up the way I like (too many habits I've developed), so I stick with the easy one, Healbot.

/agree. Healbot has a ton of functionality (click casting and decursing/de-poisoning being the main thing) and is by far the easiest to set up.
If/when you feel you have outgrown Healbot and want something with more customization and more features, try Grid with Clique (Grid to show you your raid, Clique to control click casting).
If you want total control over absolutely everything and are prepared to spend 8 hours setting it up, try Pitbull.
If you want to replace the default unit frames with something with a lot of features and a very easy setup, i can highly recommend X-perl. But again if you want to go crazy with unit frames customization, use Pitbull.

I use xperl, it can get pretty crazy customizing it as well. The only thing I don't like about Xperl is the range finder doesn't have 40 yards, and swapping between alts, you have to put the character specific spell in it every time you want to play it if you want the full 40 yards.
It took me about a week to get used to xperl, but I can't live without it now.

It's also the more lightweight in terms of screen usage, if you want to have every information available and easily readable without losing 1/4 of your screen to addons, it's a very good solution.
It does however require some getting used too, customization and readability come at the prics of some shortcuts/signalization codes that you have to learn first.
One thing i've seen raised against healbot is that it doesn't use the librarys most other addons use to broadcast incoming heals to the other healers. It does recieve the information and shows it to the users, but the users heals aren't broadcasted.
