In practice, I found that when I first got to 70 a Demonology Felguard build suited me much better.
If you are serious about pushing endgame content, a few pieces of PvP gear are necessary. I found that a solid Demonology spec allowed me to seamlessly move from instances and PvP without the need for respeccing, while still being viable in both. Whether you spend your remaining points in Affliction or Destruction is a matter of taste, but I rolled with this build for a long time.

You've got some wicked synergy with Imp Sbolt, your crit chance is highly buffed through both Devastation and Demonic Tactics, and the myriad of health and damage synergies gained through a variety of Demonology talents give you added survivability that you will lack when first breaking into both PvP and heroic dungeon delving.
Quite a few theorycrafters will malign such a build, but I have found in practice that I was able to be an asset in both 70-level PvP battlegrounds and heroic dungeons, including Heroic MgT. The only weakness I've found is that in PvP battlegrounds you only have one instant fear, that being death coil, which is on a 2min CD. I still found Howl very useful in BG situations, as I can easily take the hits and fire it off. Once you get beyond worrying about stats and their pertinence to damage meters, and start thinking about your Warlock more broadly, you'll find nothing beats a Demonology spec at this particular time in your character's growth.

The reason theorycrafters malign any build with Felguard is because they generally fail at calculating Felguard DPS. In fact, I've yet to see any app or spreadsheet that takes FG DPS into account. Compounded by the fact that FG spec excels in situations where you have to move around, something which theorycrafters frequently ignore/dismiss.
