When does having talent points in holy/disc become important for instances?

I've got a 38 holy/disc priest that I level from time to time but I am at odds over whether to keep this spec or go down the full shadow route. I primarily only want to run instances but I also want to be able to solo quests efficiently. So my question is, at this level range that I am currently at, am I wasting time and points into holy/disc? Can I heal well enough even though I may be full shadow?

Actually, it's way harder to heal BRD+ of the old world dungeons in old world gear and lvl appropriate group than it is the early TBC dungeons with a shadowspec and early TBC gear.
