I mention FT hits because with lava lash looking good, especially if it is normalized to a nice 2.4-2.6 speed, we could be using any speed off hand with FT in the future.
Other key Shaman abilities, namely WF and SS, are not normalized, so it will be inconsistent to have LL normalized...
Hordy- Lava burst will be a better use of your Malestorm Weapon procs as it has a 100% crit with FS on (as it should always be in a good rotation).
true that, but don't forget situations you cannot spam FS, such as in PvP. Also as TheMoopy put out, FS ticks may eat up the SS debuffs for minimal benefits.....

Even if FS ticks will eat SS debuff charges up, we can still use LavaB instead of LightingB as SS debuff is going to be for nature, fire and frost.
Also I don't like the idea of implementing another melee strike for us. Now we have some free time in our rotation to drop totems of smth. And with LL we'll have to think about each GCD.
you mean you prefer a spell (LavaB) with casting time (assuming no MW proc) than an instant strike (LL) with GCD? o_O
