Gearing a warrior is nightmare, while droods need few crafted items, and they can use resil. So yes, i think we will see less prot warriors in LK. Q_Q

You want a reason to be a warrior tank?
How about spell reflect, intervean, sunder, disarm, shieldbreak, viligance, thunder-clap, commanding shout, demo roar, mocking blow, shield-wall, shield-bash, concussive blow, and fear.
As far as tanks go, warriors provide the most utility of any other tank hands down.
Before WotLK, they were top tank material because of shield wall, where if things got hairy on a boss they could shield, and if bosses could enrage, they could trilviliaze it.
Its nice to see that paladins have gained shield-wall as well now, although druids are left lacking.
The fact is i don't see prot warriors ever doing reasonable dps, the fact that prot is doing nearly equal dps to fury makes me suspect one will get nerfed, the other buffed, or they aren't use fury well enough.
But even though prot isn't a dps machine, they provide extreamly good utility.
I usally MT for my guild on my druid, and i have a OT prot warrior.
On single boss fights where i tank, hes left on tasks like thunder-clap, sunder, and shouts.
The new expantion will see him being able to give me 5% dodge, he'll be able to reflect hostile spells in my place, and his intervean ability will grant a shield-wall effect for 6 seconds, on a increadibly short 30 second cooldown. In addition to being able disarm shields on targets, and disarm weapons also giving +10% damage.
Prot Warriors are massive utility, but little damage.
Prot Paladins are tanks with almost no utility, but massive AoE control, and alright off-healing
Feral Druids are tanks, have mininal utility, but good dps, and alright off-healing
I can assure you, regardless of what tank you roll, you will envy the other tanks abilitys. I have all 3.
I love my prot paladin's aoe pulls, he trivilizes complex pulls.
I love my feral druid, he kicks arse with dps, and has fearsome mitigation
I love my warrior tank, he always has a trick up or 3 up his sleave when things get hairy.
Now as for leveling a warrior. Big deal.
Paladins are the easiest to level, but possibily the slowest. The new talents should hopefully chance that. they very rarely die.
Feral druids almost never need to drink while leveling, but untill you get barkskin at 36, your heals are interuptable, so if you have 2 mobs on you when things have gone wrong, you'll quite easily just die. Warstomp would be useful but i leveled a NE. The new pushback system might change that since heals will only take a second longer at most.
Warriors, untill they get aoe fear, a bad pull can easily be fatal, you'll get the hang of hamstring and running. If your target isn't bleeding (Deep wounds will make life hard for you if you get it), you can just fear them in place and split.
They die the most, but i suspect a fury warrior will also level the fastest. Bloodthirst potentally removing their downtime.
Overall, the deaths you'll enouncter leveling make no differance at all if your willing to look past the odd death.
Fair few gramatial errors, just woke up, feeling groggy, deal with it

Blizzard has stated many times that they intend to make all four tanking classes equally viable. With alot of class balancing still left to do, it's pointless to QQ about how a class will be "useless" compared against others of a similar role. Prot Warriors have been ever-changing since the beta hit, so lets let them finish their work before we start to form conclusions.
I've heard alot of Warrior tanks complain that the other three will (or at least are supposed to be) equally viable Main Tanks. Having a Prot Warrior as my main, I totally welcome it. Although I won't be the star of the tanking show in the coming expansion, I personally think it's stupid to have one tanking class be necessary for raid progression, while having the other three for situational purposes.
The bottom line here is that the tanking classes, though different, should be balanced, and if you are a skilled player and tank, you most certainly will not be excluded from raids. If Blizzard does achieve what they want to do, and I think they will, I would suggest that you play the tank that best fits your game style, and the one you have the most fun with. I've tanked with both a Druid and a Paladin and, personally, found them both to be boring and alot less challenging/fun than my Warrior, so that's who I play with.
