As a general rule, you want to stack spell hit (up to 152), then spell damage, then spell crit.
Int comes naturally with the loots, or you can put some for blue gems where you want to keep the socket bonus (i prefer glowing nightseye).
(red and yellow gems should be either living rubies (the +dmg one) or veiled/potent noble topaz)
Naturally, if it's a question of 10 int vs 1 spell dmg, the 10 int are better due to talents.
Here are some ressources for moonkins :
- on US official druid forums, a balance related thread named "balance one stop shop" (or near to that) with very comprehensive explanations about all that.
- moonkin discussion thread on elitist jerks :

Here's the Balance One Stop Shop link :
http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=2215646573&sid=1&pageNo=13I always find my damage goes way down if I stack that much +hit on trivial content (level 72 mobs and under)Yep, for trash mobs, Balance of Power is enough by itself against 70 mobs, and you only need around 22 more from items to be at the cap against 72 mobs.
However, the point of choosing one's equipment is for boss fights (in my opinion) since trashes are by definition "easy" (relatively at least).
I've never been really looking at my crit rating as a means of deciding what gear to use however, it goes down ~4-5% when i'm in boss-fight outfit and up when in trash-outfit.
What I'm really looking towards are the highest damage pieces, using Sapphiron's calculator for the "damage value" of each piece (though i have to keep it up to date myself for recent items). With the stats i have, the conversion values become something like this :
- 1 hit = 1.75 dmg (or 0 against trashes)
- 1 crit = 0.6 dmg
- 1 int = 0.77 dmg
- 1 spirit = 0.5 dmg
- 1 mp5 = 1.67 dmg
(depends on spell rotations, and setup for 10 minutes fight which gives more weight to all mana regen stats)
(those are dmg equivalents in statical casting situations, there are other things to take into account in real fights naturally)
BDEC 0.65.xls was the last official version, I suppose it can be found there (but i can't check the link from work) :
