A question, if you raise a friendly player and you got Master of Ghouls, would it be possible for that player to stay goul for a long time (as long as he stays near the death knight)?
Good question. Probably not though, how should that player be able to resurrect if he stays ghoul? 0.o

it is not a bug, master of ghouls allows permanent ghouls in beta now.

so now the ghoul is pemanently and you need only a corpse to summon him?

A humanoid corpse or corpse dust. The ghoul is only permanent if you have a point in the master of ghouls talent.

Forgive my ignorance but I'm not fortunate enough to have a beta key. I'm wondering how strong the ghoul is. I used to play warlock and it's an interesting concept to me to have a permanent pet in one spec and not in another because that would imply the other talents, blood / ice, are potentially as good as a permanent pet. Which either means those other talents are really good, or the ghoul is not that good. So what is your impression on having the ghoul out or not?

it's a decent dps increase, but not designed for tanking like warlock/hunter pets are. It's been nerfed recently, as the thing used to put out more damage than the deathknight himself could. Now it's under warlock/hunter pets for damage output.
Really, he'll be a single-target damage increase for unholy (unholy is more aoe focused and doesnt have great single-target damage to begin with), while the other two trees are already focused on better sustained dps on single targets.
Other than that, he's just for 'flavor', the ghoul is fun to have out even if he isnt helping much.
