So im thinking of re rolling and starting a mage or druid but i don't know which.
Mage
Used to be top dps and cc back in vanilla wow from what i heard, but they have a lot of down time now and not much kick.
Druid
Basically one of the best healers if specced correctly from what iv seen and aren't too bad in spell dps. Haven't heard anything about cc.
So is the mage more of a Glass Bell? Or is the druid jack of trades master of 1?
I need some tips and advice from end gamers.
Iv played both to 20 a while back, hard to remember now...
Yeah sorry for the wall of text

That was nothing near a wall of text. :)
I've leveled both and I will strongly suggest rolling the druid.
Mages bring a lot of things to the table(no pun intended) including free food n' water, polymorph, and teleports. These are very helpful when leveling.
Druids can, with the appropriate gear and talents, fulfill nearly any role. Melee DPS, tank, ranged, DPS, and healer- all are available to the druid. If you go Feral for leveling, you'll rarely if ever need to stop and drink to replenish mana since you regenerate mana normally when in animal form. The only time you'll need to shift out is to heal, de-curse, or mount up.
Another great thing about druid leveling is the uber-ness of our fast-casting HoT's. With a stun, you can get of Regrowth and Rejuvenation. Both will tick away, healing you, while you're fighting the possibly multiple mobs that Bear Form can easily handle.
Go Drood!
thnks, but i wanted to ask can ferel regeneration or however the spell is called while in bear form to heal yourself be dispelled? I am not much of a pvper but i do it sometimes...

Both classes are good at what they do.
Mages are the best spellcasting DPS. There is no better, and they are also the best CC. I don't know if they are as good as they were in vanilla, but a mage is still a welcome part of any group/raid.
Druids can fulfill any roll in a supporting way except for CC. They make good supporting spellcasters with the moonkin aura/buffs, great raid/group healers, great support physical DPS with leader of the pack, and are good main/off tanks.
Basically it's what you want to do. Personally druid is more attractive to me as I prefer hybrid classes.

I've been playing both, and I'd say that you should try them both to lvl 15-20 and then pick the one you like best from there ;)

Depends on the location and the target - if you're in an area that counts as outdoors, Entangling Roots makes for pretty good
supporting
crowd control against melees who haven't gotten into range yet. (note the emphasised word)
