Drain tanking and Getting Started stickies at the top of the forum go deeply into the leveling process. Broadly speaking, until level thirty the voidwalker will be your best friend. DoT, fear, next target, DoT, fear... After level thirty you drain tank, and in the mid-forties you'll have the talents to multi-mob drain tank.
As for zones for the Horde, the BE starting areas are the best designed. After that, Hillsbrad, Thousand Needles, and Ashenvale are good choices.

To clarify:
At 30, the Voidwalker gets put on the shelf. It simply isn't all that useful anymore. You pull out the succubus and drain tank, with her doing some extra damage.
At 40, you pull out the Imp for Dark Pact battery goodness with your drain tanking.
In instances, you'll run the imp about 99% of the time.
Felguard is a nice build at 54+. If you mean Felhunter, its of some use in dealing with casters, but you'll still generally prefer the Imp.
