I'm a 67 lock with a affliction build, if anyone has any suggestions...
http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/classes/warlock/talents.html?tal=5502222512230105512010030000000000000000000505000000000000000000
But mainly I want to know how,
by pulling so much aggro with Aff do I survive most of the time?
This is coming from a lock with culture shock considering ive been spected to FG demo for pretty much the whole game.
Thoughts?5
Ummmm, what?
Do you mean you're pulling aggro when grouped in instances? In that case, you're starting dps too quickly and need to give the tank a few seconds to gain control of the mobs.
Do you mean you're running with the voidwalker and pulling aggro from it while solo questing? In that case, go read the drain tanking sticky at the top of the forum.
If you mean something else, you're going to have to be more clear with your question.

When I was leveling my warlock, I was first affliction, then I was demonology until level 70, when I switched to affliction again, and lastly, destruction.
If I was you and wanted to stick to Affliction, I would go like
this
, and then finally add my last points in Surpression. This will do quite some damage in instances and while soloing.
While doing instances, you should put up all your dots EXCEPT Immolate, because it only lowers your damage done while being affliction, because it takes up time where you could have cast shadow bolts instead, and spam shadow bolts and renew your dots. Use Curse of Elements instead of agony, it will boost your damage done in most cases. In short fights you can go with agony, for like trash mobs. On them I usually just put up agony, corruption and shadow bolted a bit. They die too fast to put up all dots.
While soloing, I'd pull out the succubus and do like this:
Cast Unstable Affliction, Corruption and Siphon Life, then spam Drain Life until it's dead. Life Tap to full mana some times before you start to drain life, so you heal up while killing the mob. Let your succubus attack for more damage done and quicker fights. This is called draintanking, and there's a very good guide for it
here
. You should read up on it. :)

Qinetig, there are a few things that you never ever will need while soloing/PVEing as an affliction warlock, and that is things like Improved Howl of Terror, Dark Pact, Demonic Embrace and Curse of Exaustion. All those skills are pure PVP.
1. Shadow Burn is a fun skill, indeed, but you want the other points in the other things instead, like reduced
threat
for shadow bolts, wich still is 60% of your DPS.
2. Those two skills are not needed in raids. 2/2 improved health stone can be discussed.
3. Improved Drain Soul is totally neccesairy. Reduced threat.
4. One point in Shadow Embrace gives you an extra boost for your Drain Life.
5. Curse of Exhaustion is a PVP skill, and is not at all needed in PVE. Drain Tanking is the way to go. You don't even need to touch the fear button while soloing, if you know what you are doing.
6. Suppression is much more viable than Curse of Weakness, by far.
This clearly shows that you don't really know what you are talking about.

His build does not matter, because he clearly does not know enough about how this game works, since he has come to us for advice and answers to his questions.

From a PVP point of view, your post was quite legit, but I wouldn't know.
I have no idea what I'm talking about when it comes down to PVP. I could only guess.
Let's drop this.
