I tend to stay away from Curse, there has been a few too many reports about Loggers and such. Not to mention my friend lost his account right after he got Mods from Curse.

To be honest, if you're afraid of those HTML/Javascript scripts, just get NoScript. It's an addon for FireFox and what it does is makes it so those virus scripts can't run. That, and SCAN EVERYTHING YOU DOWNLOAD.

My brother got an addon pack (sorry, don't know which one) that came complete with a keylogger. He lost his account, finally got it back with 7000 less gold.
I use nothing but Firefox with NoScript, and now he does too.

I heard too that Curse is "clean" site and never had problems with it, but after soulbora post I need to be carefull.
What? Both Curse and 2 other sites (can't remember their names atm) have been reported for having hidden trojans and such for the 6 months or so... I, me, and myself only stick to wowace
Me2, Ace addons are good enough and ace has almost everything you need..

Atleast he got his account back unlike others (like me) have to buy themselves a new one to continue playing..
Back then I'd rather have my account back with 7k less gold on it then buy a new one and have to start all over.
About this NoScript, is it safe?

NoScript is super safe! I haven't had one instance of malware since installing it. It prevents JavaScript from running unless you specifically allow it. Some sites require it, so you'll have to manually allow them if you trust them.
JavaScript is wonderful, but can be used to monitor keyboard activity and install malware. Nothing beats safe browsing habits, but NoScript adds a layer of protection that IE cannot match.

- Firefox 3.0

- NoScript addon
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865
- AdBlock Plus (not necessary, but nice)
Firefox can't be beaten imo.

I've never had any problems with Curse.com, but then again I don't download any add-ons besides the ones I absolutely have to (Omen, DBM, G-Calender, ect.).

Personally, I stick with wowinterface.com for my addons...
Though I've never had a problem with Curse... I just don't like the whole "click to download, then click again to ACTUALLY download" layout they're working with.
Bah. Necro. Reported.
