What do people usually tip for making the
Golden Spellthread
? (with my mats provided) I got a person that would make it for me if I would pay 100g tip... i was like wtf is wrong with this guy. Even mongoose, executioner.. etc usually require 10-15g tip. But then I got a nice undead tailor that made the spellthread for me, I paid him 20g for the tip, and he was happy and satisfied with the price.
Just want to know what you guys think about this. Is 100g too much? and what is the usually tipping price for it?

As a player requiring a craft, I tip if nothing is asked (and go look somewhere else if too much is asked) though actually i rather try to find someone in my guild.
As a crafter, i ask for a fee because there are too many peoples who don't tip. Advertising "tip required" does indeed seem stupid.

"Tip required" = fee. It always drives me nuts when I see people requiring a tip, because that's simply not how it works.
"Tip appreciated" is what I usually say - if someone comes to me with their mats, I'll do it for free. if they want to tip me, that's fine, if not, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

Omg it's an epic thread!
Hilarity aside, the reason people tip for stuff like Golden Spellthread is:
Because it's a kind thing to do.
You have to have 375 tailoring, so honestly, one should pay because the crafter spent his/her time busting his/her ass off.
You have to be exalted with the Aldor (this is easier on some servers, but harder on others).
However, 100g might be a bit much because thats like 1/3rd of the price of the thread itself. (possibly even half)

For anything that doesn't give me a skillup (i.e. most stuff) I usually require a 5-15 gold fee depending on the rarity of the craft. However, I never call it a tip. A tip is something you get if you don't ask for anything. A fee is something you ask for.
100 gold fee for a golden spellthread craft is hilarious.

I was tired of finding people to do that recipe so I have 2 tailors one exalted withs scryers other with aldor. 100 G is what I paid when tailors had to supply the nether.
Personally i don't ask for tips, if they want to tip thats really nice of them. Usually 10-25 g tips i receive from making the threads.
I also tip very well for people who have rare Old world recipes from raids and factions no one uses anymore. I shocked one priest by giving her a 25g tip just for making me a few brillant mana oil, my mats. Hey I'm a nice person. hehe but the tip made her my main suplier and we have a great business realationship.
