Since ~40% of an affliction warlock's damage is Shadowbolts, spell hit is far from "semi useless". Supression is a good talent if you have crap gear, but aim at replacing the talent with spell hit from gear if you can.

If you're base dps is lacking you can always invest time or golds into getting these:
Shiffar's Nexus-Horn +225
Xi'ri's Gift +150
Superior Wizard Oil +42
Adept's Elixir +24
Blackened Basilisk +23
I already have about ~900+ spell dmg. But if all these are used or proc(trinket) I getup near. +1364 spell dmg.

Sorting out your +hit to get you to the cap of 16% against raid bosses will serve you better in terms of DPS than adding +dmg.
The reasoning behind this should be obvious but there are plenty of guides and theory on it all over the WoW forums.
The Scryer trinket and ring from Cenarian rep are two good starter items for getting your +hit up.

I believe that I already posted this, but this is a good example of what all classes need for Karazhan, give or take of course.
