Alright, around level 50 something and well there was a quest to turn in to a NPC in Kharanos. So once I gout of IF I decided to /tloc my coordinates on the map so I know where to find him quicker. Anyways, I got to the dot but I didn't see the NPC guy there? I was like OK ? wtf you know .. did some horde come here and whipe Kharanos?? I was really upset so I figured I'd wait here til he respawns. I'm sitting there talking crap about the horde to my guild about how evil they would be to just come kill this very important NPC just so a I can get this quest reward I really needed. Anyways, 30 minutes passed by and I was ok I need to go to bed. I left my character right there and I figured he'd be there next time I log on. Long story short, the stupid doouche bag was underground below the snow in Kharanos and the hill covered it up pretty good. I felt really stupid and noobish. My guild at the time was all pretty much laughing there ass' off lol

I was running a PuG Shat Halls with a healer and a tank from the same guild. On the server our two guilds are kinda like friendly rivals. We where few pulls in when come to the guys that hit really hard (the ones that lead the others, forget the name) when I had to go afk to let my dog out. As a hunter,i'm only DPS so I let them go ahead and pull while i was gone. They almost wiped when the healer died.
A shammy rezzed him and the tank said ,very sarcastic, "Do you normally do this in groups?"
I replied "No, I normally do this"
I Misdirected on the tank and hit the one of the big guys.
We killed them quite handily. And I said "Damn, that didn't go as planned :D"
The tank invited me for another run a few days later

Well I was levelling my shaman and happened to get into a Blood Furnace group at around 60. The mage in the group repeatedly tells me to drop windfury (I was dropping GoA). I responded that I would when the rogue (the only other melee in the group) took off his poisons.
He told me that his poisons didn't matter because you can have both windfury AND poisons on and I just wanted to beat the rogue on dps. He ended up kicking me, accusing me of knowing nothing about WoW.

The 2 funniest things Ive seen were on both factions
Horde:
I had just started trying a horde (I think it was an Undead Warlock), and got him to lvl10. And on the way up to Undercity, I spotted some alliance ganking some lowbies (because they had noobishly attacked them to set off PvP). Off course, I ran in and said in Trade Channel "There's a couple of Alliance here ganking some players". I sat there waiting looking at the alliance fighting, and all of a sudden a huge crowd of Lvl60's (Pre-TBC) running from the Zeppelin (Id say there was about 20-25 Hordies there) and they destroyed the gankers. Turns out that all of the Horde that helped were actually duelling outside Orgrimmar, and someone told them about my message. They instantly decided to help as they would be ganking Allies. I just sat there laughing my ass off
Alliance:
This one wasn't as funny as the Horde one, but the way my friends built it up was hilarious. I was levelling my Warrior, who's now lvl70, in STV and I started getting ganked by 2 lvl50+ rogues and a lvl55+ Warlock about 5 months into TBC. I whispered one of my friends Roxas about it. Low and behold he says "Hang on a second there man". I wait a few minutes and then he /w "Where abouts are you?". I tell him that I was down by Nesingwary place. I wait a few more minutes as a wisp as the Rogues and Lock are corpse camping. When all of a sudden, a lvl70 Warrior, a lvl70 Druid and a lvl70 Priest come down and gank the Horde... with Fishing Rods. Since then, Roxxas (We changed servers), Alteron (The Druid) and Kadiea (The Priest) have been Extreme Fishing as they call it

Only goes to prove that leveling Fishing
is
useful... :P

Last night in level 40-49 WSG we were up 2/3 to 0/3 and the alliance snagged our flag before we could cap theirs. After a few minutes passed, and the alliance going into turtle-mode, someone asked "Do we have to get our flag back?" he was serious. A few minutes later the same guy asked "When does time run out?"

I always found it amusing when people in AV would fake people out by telling them to type "/afk" if they are not AFK to verify that they are not AFKing the battleground.
My RL buddy fell for this, not once...but twice. One guy just plain said "Type /afk if you are not AFK." The next thing in the chat was "So-n-so has left the battleground." He wasn't happy. "Those f*ckin #$%^s! Why the hell would they do that!?"
The next day, we were in AV, waiting for it to begin when a more beliveable trick came up. Some one typed it as an emote; "PlayerX has reported you as Away From Keybord (AFK). Please type "/afk" to disregard this reporting." (or something to that extent). The next thing in the chat log? "So-n-so has left the battleground." Me and another RL friend laughed our ass off about it for a long time. Our poor friend decided to show us an impressive string of cursing and ranting over Vent soon after.
It was funny, cause he fell for the trick twice in two days. Still do this day, I ruthlessly make fun of him.
Edit: Haha, didn't even notice the post just prior to mine.
