50% of all zombies I kill or cure send me a whisper that is something among the lines of "WTF L2P NOOB" or "QUIT IT $%^ WERE TRYING TO HAVE FUN".Here's the proper response to that:
"QQ MOAR, KTHXBAI."
Because turnabout is fair play.

People can still level and quest as much as they want after WotLK is out. This zombie invasion is a one time event. It's also quite unexpected and a pleasant change from the constant boredom. Can you blame people for enjoying it while they have the chance? I do feel sorry for the people who are trying to quest and i'm not intentionally trying to kill quest npc's, but the zombies are kinda hard to controland i can't stop them when they decide to attack an npc ^^
It isn't just about killing quest NPC's. There was a zombie takeover the other day when I was questing on a lowbie and not only did they take ALL the NPC's but they were one shot killing me. Its one thing if I am stupid and flag for allies to kill me, but I was minding my own business and that was when the frustration of it all set in and the zombies started to inhibit my playing time and I joined the band against them.
And it may be a once in a lifetime opportunity to be a zombie but take it somewhere else and we don't have to worry about you and you don't have to worry about us.

The event is called "Zombie Invasion" or "Scourge Invasion". It is not called "Hey, let's all be ^&*!s!"
While I agree that killing all the quest givers etc. is uncool, really, you shouldn't be a jerk in the opposite way and kill anyone trying to have a bit o' fun as a zombie.

It is NOT Blizzard's fault for how Toons use the plague, it is the players fault, and if someone decides to be an idiot and start attacking lowbies, then we shouldn't put the blame on Blizzard...they were just trying to make the game a bit more interesting.
GO BLIZZARD!
Blame is going to Blizzard for refusing to heed the complaints of its customers who many in essence can not play for the remainder of this event.
Blizzard's response so far is "Tough luck. Deal with it. We have your money."
In essence, there are some players on some realms with only low level characters who can not play because of griefers. They are being told "You can't play until Lich King comes out even though you're paying for this month."
To that we've responded with canceling our WoW subscriptions and filing a complaint with Blizzard.
I am paying 15 bucks to play NOW. Not AFTER Lich King.
I do not appreciate being told to "stuff it" when I'm spending my hard earned money to play this game.
You can very well have your fun without camping lowbies for hours. You're not going to quit the game if Blizzard tells you to stop harrassing lowbies. Lowbies, however, are going to start canceling accounts because honestly there is no point in playing at the moment for many of them.
It is not my responsibility as a paying customer to patrol Westfall all evening so others have some chance of being able to play. My job is not to make the game enjoyable for everyone. I am a paying customer. I pay Blizzard to do that. And their response to this crisis so far has been pathetic at best.
No, Blizzard is not in charge. We the consumers are...and many of us are canceling our subscriptions out of frustration (and like me, principle). I will not be purchasing Lich King (which is sad, because prior to this event I was going to be preordering end of this week from Amazon.) Many of my guildies which are new players to the game are doing the same or returning their unopened preordered Lich King boxes when the arrive on the 14th. Sadly, in anticipation of Lich King I had prepaid up until January. What a waste.

See...here's the thing...
...it kind of is. Quoting my friend, again, here:
"People pretend like this is set in stone or something. Like Blizzard can't drop a giant atomic monkey whenever they feel like. There are no hard fast rules here. They can make an event as great or as laughable as they want. Reality doesn't apply until money comes into the picture."
This can be changed
tomorrow
.
The anti-zombie camp doesn't seem to be against the event. It's just putting too much control of NPCs in the hands of players. It is child's play to exploit it. It is baffling that the system is being allowed to continue.
If it is known - explicitly, clearly known - that a system is in place that just openly allows for such flagrant abuse, then it's something that's usually fixed. Even people who enjoy being zombies also seem to be saying "I feel for people trying to level or quest or anything like that".
People will always be jerks about certain things. You'll always get one or two people trying to screw everyone over. That's part of life. But to make a system that makes it so easy to screw people over is...
...oh, let's go ahead and quote the friend, again:
"Blizzard should understand that and probably does. It's an RPG and playing really consists of leveling. So if you can't level, you're signing in for what? A premium chat room?
Temporary, yes. But if it's to last till WotLK as is, I'd want a refund, an apology, and for someone to be publicly disgraced"
...
...man has a point.

This is getting kind of out of hand O.o The countdown is now 60 seconds.
Things are steadily going crazy. Here's our Greengill Coast on Darrowmere O.O
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ml0kyIN1hw
It's still 5 minutes for me, I'm guessing that you were counting getting hit by the zombies, each hit reduces the duration by ten seconds, so if you've got a lot of them on you you're going down fast.
Still 5 minutes here on Burning Blade. However, it looks like a few more Argent Healers are gone today.

why not just join a zombie horde and stop your QQ... go have some fun bringing a 70 down to your (zombified) level.
Go level a character to level 15 (if you can manage to make it that far) and then go see how much fun you have raiding as a level 15 zombie vs level 40 (minimum) guards. See how much fun you have. Then we'll talk.
---
Side note...majority of players are shelving their 70s until lich king since there is little point in raiding and pvping for gear that'll be replaced soon. What are they doing instead? Leveling alts...I know 80% of the people in my guild are doing that right now...but guess what...they can't! Why? Zombies camping quest givers. Go figure.
So not only do you tick off the brand new players with no level 70s but you also tick off the 70s who are trying to level alts before Lich King.
GG Blizzard for creating a public relations nightmare

I don't think it's impossible to level. There's always grinding (though some people may not like that), and there's sure to be SOME quest giver thats not dead yet. I've gained two levels since the invasion started purely from quests and the odd monster.
Maybe the server I'm on (Perenolde) just doesn't have a lot of griefers/campers, or I've been missing out on it, because the quest-givers sure aren't infected/zombies all the time.

I hate this, i wanted to finish a quest, but there was zombies, so it takes me 20 minutes to do it...
