I don't know about anywhere else, but the Scourge keeps attacking Undercity, coming in through the sewers. The mobs are mostly 63 elites with about 20k hp, and they can drop those Necrotic Runes.

This event beats the Burning Crusade one by far imo. Now, I did use to play on a PvP realm, so I didn't really get to try that one out on a Roleplaying realm. But with this, there's usually large groups of Ghouls in the evening, attacking villages throughout the lands.
It's lots of fun to stand inside a town, and watch 40 Ghouls charging towards you, or being a Ghoul yourself and running along with the rest, while 30 other people stands ready to defend the town.

I think it's a maor step in the event.
A clue they want players to start invading major cities?

We tried that with Stormwind on Bleeding Hollow, big fail, guards are level 75 Elite's, we had around 30 people also.

This is the most retarded event Blizzard has ever created. They should fire the idiots that thought about this.

Besides, it's Blizzard's game and they reserve the right to change it in any way at any time for any reason (as stated in the EULA)
. Ownership.
A. All title, ownership rights and intellectual property rights in and to the Game and all copies thereof (including without limitation any titles, computer code, themes, objects, characters, character names, stories, dialog, catch phrases, locations, concepts, artwork, character inventories, structural or landscape designs, animations, sounds, musical compositions and recordings, audio-visual effects, storylines, character likenesses, methods of operation, moral rights, and any related documentation) are owned or licensed by Blizzard.
Working my way backwards here. Nobody is debating Blizzard's ownership rights. Quoting the EULA here is out of context of the discussion. We're not debating whether or not Blizzard owns the rights to the game or its servers.
Problem here with your argument is that Blizzard exists inside a Capitalist System. In our system that we have here in the United States and indeed most of the Western World, when a company does something you don't like you have the right to complain and when that company doesn't appropriately respond to your complaints (appropriateness being up to the discretion of the consumer complaining) you have every right to take your business elsewhere.
Sure, Blizzard owns the game and can do whatever it wants. It could instantly kill all players and force them to watch Barney Re-runs for 12 hours before they are allowed to corpse walk from the exact opposite corner of the map as their corpse. In return if you do not make it back to your corpse within 10 minutes all of your items are deleted and you're reset to level 1 and must then watch teletubbies for 2 hours before you're allowed to level again... it doesn't mean however that they'd be in business afterwards.
Blizzard (or any other gaming company) can only go so far as its consumer allows it. Lest it find itself without consumers and in bankruptcy court.
Yeah its just a game. Hence why I'm more than content ending my subscription instead of being a masochist and putting up with unfettered griefing as if it somehow enriches or adds to my life or free time. Do some of you people even listen to yourselves?
"Dude this is awesome. I'm klling lowbies."
...lowbies are played by real people btw
"Stop QQing because you can't play the game. Its temporary dude. Only 3 weeks"
...15 bucks for 1 week of ungriefed play?
"QQ @#$@#%@"
*yawn*
