60 -> 71 Affliction or Demo (whichever you chose at 50)
71 -> 80 SiLi/FG

seconded.
SiLi/FG is very powerful and, i found, lots of fun to play. (i generally hate levelling and only put up with it because i enjoy end-game so much. this wasn't the case my first time through northrend on my lock)

best leveling guide I ever read, even for mainly resto druid player who wanted to have a Alt dps this guide did convert me like a seduced idiot that get lured by the warlock cloak that whisper "Join the dark side!"

Great guide. I've just started in the world of warlocks and love it! Only level 11 but having a great time.
Thanks

I've just reached level 23 and recently have got the Succubus. It's quite a cool demon to have, but I'm finding her really poor in combat. With the Void, I can send it in to tank away and I have very little to do, but Succubus is dying quickly and not dishing out the damage.
Am I doing something very wrong? It could be that i'm facing a tougher mob now, but even so, I'm finding my VW more reliable.

You shouldn't be using the Succy to tank mobs, you need to get aggro yourself and let her provide extra DPS.
The VW is your tanking minion, from the time you get it at 10 all the way to 80.

I have a lvl 47 Horde Warlock alt (PvE) that I have finally gotten back around to working on. Before I was using a demonology-heavy tree with VW tanking just biding my time until FG. However this build really interested me so I respecced the other night to try it out.
I'm clearly a n00b at it. 1v1 I'm fine, but add a second and suddenly struggling to keep that health meter up. I get the full 4-spell set on the first mob (Imm, Corrup, Siphon, CoA), then usually just siphon life on the second to help health while I work the first down. Imp stays passive, transfer mana as necessary. My equipment is nothing special, so it could be that my armor and defensive stats are too low, I don't know. I'm more or less standing still, not running around, toe to toe.
So as far as quest grinding and leveling on a day-to-day basis, is this the strategy? Is there something I'm maybe doing wrong as far as combat effectiveness?
Thanks much for any information or advice provided.
