Thanks for pointing that out, touched that up in the guide. I think Disease would probably be the best. Dark Death and Unholy Blight would be the other threat increasing options but the runes saved not having to refresh your diseases might win out.

UB Glyph is worthless with 3.3 nerfing UB by 50%. DD would beat it for threat especially with Morbidity.

How about fixing macro for Rune Strike?
#showtooltip
/cleartarget
/startattack
/cast <whatever>
/startattack
/cast !Rune Strike
Main change is that you don't enable/disable Rune Strike if you are mashing button in macro like
#showtooltip
/cleartarget
/startattack
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton4
/castsequence reset=combat/5/shift Icy Touch, Plague Strike, Obliterate
/startattack
/cast !Rune Strike
Spell preceded by the "!" will always be "cast", regardless of it's current state.
Also, that last macro contains another useful thing, as the line
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton4
is actually triggers Deathchill, carefully placed on specified bar button (if you have it in your spec, of course), and it shows the way to not have it appeared in #showtooltip.

Why are you "clicking" random buttons through your macros. Its very easy to just /cast deathchill if that's what you want to happen. Also you can /cast 13 or /cast 14 to trigger each trinket slot. I'm not up for promoting the use of one button cast sequence macros so I wouldn't recommend this above one for starters.
I am curious as to why you do /startattack multiple times...

If you /cast or /use, it will show up in bar button, overrsiding current spell in sequence.... as I said, if you did read my post.
Multiple /startattack to... start attacking. I've had iddues with it in the past, that first /startattack with clear target, immediately followed by a skill, was not starting actual attack, only selecting a mob.

I think you're over complicating a rune strike macro here. The only part that might warrant a change is the inclusion of ! for the reason you stated. I initially had that but then had other people say that it was unnecessary.
The macro I listed is quick clean and easy, you replace each ability on your bar with that abilities version of the macro. Your macro here promotes the one-button stereotype of facerollers and should probably not be encouraged. If anyone wants to play with it, go ahead.
#showtooltip <spellname>
That's the line listed in my macro and that will always show that abilities tooltip so you can freely /cast deathchill anywhere in the macro and not have another tooltip show.
I'm still not getting your start attack issues. I'm not going to profess being an expert in macros, but the fact that you have to /startattack every other line leaves me with the impression of a sloppy macro. I generally pull with Icy Touch, that starts my attacks, and if I'm tab targetting mobs to spread threat around, I'm tabbing to hit with frost strike or obliterate, not tabbing and waiting for autoattack.

You are indeed right for single-spell /cast macro. But if you want to factor trinket or things like Deathchill into /castsequence, you have to use /click workaround, ot you won't be able to watch cooldowns of the actual spells you cast.

Mmm... now, after some experimenting with it, I have found that...
1. I can't reliably hold threat using IT-PS-Ob 1-target rotation. Just not enough DPS -> slow threat building.
2. Time-consuming and distracting cooldown watch. Should either rework UI completely or look around for something more flexible. I'd go with latter - my UI already pretty cluttered.
Now, I'm frost tank, using 2h weapon... and I'm putting out enough threat using absolutely brainless rotation of HB->BB->DS->BB->dump.
Pretty much all-around rotation, but I did changed it a bit for more single-target threat using HB->BS->Ob->BS->dump.
Just make 2 macro, for HB->DS and HB->Ob. Put them on bar in order
macro - BB (or BS for 1-target panel) - FS - Mind Freeze
You are ready for almost anything. Including trigger-happy DPS and brain-burning mobs.
Glyph of Howling Blast is essential for this build, but I was running some instances with relatively good success without it.
