My first and only run in TK drop the thrash cloth caster sholders and I won! ^^
Without a single second of doubt the Staff of the Shadow Flame from back in the days of Blackwing Lair.I didn't get it the first time, but second time around I had saved a ton of DKP to buy this baby.
Back in *vanilla wow*, I badly wanted to be able to skin onyxia, core hounds, and the likes of many beasts that required more skill in skinning than you could have, unless you owned.. finkle's skinner. Now, this was a semi rare drop from The Beast, in BRS. I was 60, a resto druid, and we used to farm BRS, sometimes, a couple times a day, for this item to drop. It got to the point where sometimes, I was a solo healer for the 10 man group, because we'd done it so much and we just could go in almost blindfolded and do the zone. And it would be nothing short of about a year and a half of farming, until I would get this item. It sort of became, the guild joke.. that I was never going to get this skinner.. because we'd go every day, sometimes a couple times a day, and no drop.. and they'd start a run as I was going to bed, and I'd say, sorry, I just HAVE to go to bed now, and next morning.. 'hey mah, guess what dropped last night?' and sure enough, someone would be linking it. But, we pushed on, and a year+ later, I had my skinner! I was skinning everything I could with that thing.. and now that they made it a skinning knife, not just something you had to equip to up your skinning, I kept it, and will always have it, even tho I no longer need it. ^-^
I haven't had an epic drop yet. I suppose it was the fist weapon I got from Utgarde Keep.
the first epic item i ever got was deadman's hand. http://www.wowhead.com/?item=34227. and i was so proud of it and now still at level 61 i have it on just cause it is so much fun to be able to use something that was the first epic i received and still be able to use it!
Just last night I was playing on my warrior, and I was doing BFD for the first time. One of my party members said I should pick up the quest to get the head if Kelris, when I picked up the quest I saw the Shield, it was almost three times better then mine. So after wiping once; we cleared the instance and I claimed my sweet, sweet, reward.
Opening a lock box to an epic blacksmith pattern that helped me buy my flying mount, probably the most epic string of events ever.
