The most epic loot i have ever gotten would have to be my Toy Train Set. When me and my guild are running 25man Nax i always put it down so while my guild leader explain the fight, everyone is constantly going CHOO CHOO! and half the raid gets #$%^ed off while the other half are dying of laughter, and the best part is it was only 250G! the only down side is the 30minute cooldown, but the train is down every 30minutes.
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=59961 Best grind ever, took a leet grp of friends to grind it out, but lots of fun :)
My most epic item i would have to say is my Black war bear mount. After killing all 4 horde leaders in about an hour and wipeing out all the horde defenders, it was real nice to earn something for a job well done.
Ok another story..Once upon a time I had a rogue. At one point, as I was combat specced, the best sword choice for me was http://www.wowhead.com/?item=8190. I got higher lvled and returned to ungoro to finish up some quests.. After killing one of the pterodactyl mobs, Lo and behold! http://www.wowhead.com/?item=8190! Too bad by then I had gotten better weapons so I didn't need it anymore. I still sold it on AH for a nice amount of gold, though.
Getting my most epic item was actually the most epic thing that happened. I was doing Gruul's and the Dragonspine Trophy dropped, so everyone was freaking out. I, and every DPS rolled need for it, and the top four rolls were 93, 96, 98, and 100. Guess who got the 100? Me, an undergeared shammy still with greens. I was happy =]
Vengeful Gladiator's Leather SpauldersMy 3v3 got to 2011 rating after winning our first three games that week in a row. My priest and mage partners, who wisely saved points for spending, bought their shoulders immediately, and we continued with the games. I didn't have enough points to purchase my shoulders, having spent nearly all I had already on the two maces at 1850 just the week before. Well, we took quite a few losses all of a sudden, and before we knew it we were down to 1979 rating. Now, getting 21 points back isn't so hard one may think, especially at the 1900 bracket (I beg to differ since we're all average players and it was very early in the season), but we just stomached several losses in a row (to Gladiator teams no less), and morale was pretty low. We had our 10 games that week and after some arguing we decided to try to continue and take the point losses so we could get back to 2k, and enable me to get my shoulders come next Tuesday.Well, after this decision, our first game right off the bat is against my own guild's Hunter/Lock/Druid team (popular at the time), who were nearly at 2200 rating. Needless to say it felt hopeless, but during the match their druid disconnected, and after some laughs in guild chat, we walked away with 21 points from that match and decided to call it quits for the week.I felt pretty bad ass with my shoulders on Tuesday.
For me it was completing the Lunacy deck via drops, not buying them from teh Ah but actually getting each drop; the time it took for that and finally completing it and waiting for the Darkmoon Faire to come back...that was an epic amount of time. =D
The shoulders of Transcendence back when they didn't have the graphic they do now. I was disappointed the way they looked until the patch came and then I flipped out. It was pretty sweet.
