My alt warrior was on a molten core raid and just my luck I get almost the whole Might set to drop..but when we kill Ragnaros the http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17204 dropped and no one wanted to spend to money to make the hammer so I was able to pick it up and ended up with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=17182
Well, this will probably seem a bit cliché, but my Pillar of Ferocity was the most epic drop I've gotten. I never raided much preBC, and was in a very small guild until we merged with a much larger guild. My very first raid with the new guild was Hyjal (Gruul had been the extent of my 25 man experience up to then). I was nervous and eagerly wanted to prove myself to the new guildies. Well, they had never killed Anetheron, my guild showed up new to the instance in general. We breeze through the first boss, wipe it up a few times on Anetheron, then we finally down him. It was a great bonding moment with the new guild - and lo and behold, the Pillar drops. First kill with this guild and for myself. It was amazing, and I was very lucky to be the only feral druid in there for that run, seeing as how there were 3 other ferals that offtanked from time to time.Ralias of The Seventh TrumpetBlade's Edge
Mine would be a Crimson snake (look at avatar ^^) on my char Thrawl about 3 years ago (i hardly level) i could never seem to earn enough money to get a critter pet. So i decided to work for ages to get one. After about a week i got him. That Felt sooo good!Oh and when i didn'y realy know about epic and how rareitmes were (read on)at level 15 i went to booty bay and this lvl 43 hunter and i went to pull the giant to the guards and guess what dropped http://www.wowhead.com/?item=2164]around then i didn't know how rare it was (stupid me) we both greeded i won. the next thing i knew i sold it for 5g! then i looked it AH the very same one was there Bid : 150g Buyout 200g. I still kick my self for it.P.s I use my lvl 60 Death Knight more often than my Warrior now (lvl 57)
For me its frost resist ring with water breathing witch is reward for almost final quest for opening AQ gate.
a long time ago during a level 60 run of Molten Core (yes THAT long ago) we killed Garr and he dropped his Binding of the Windseeker. I won the binding, but sadly Baron Geddon did not drop his Binding. Nor did he drop it the following week. Or the week after that. Eventually we moved into Blackwing Lair, AQ and Naxx but still every week I'd try to get a raid for Molten Core, kill Geddon and hope for the Binding. When Burning Crusade came out Thunderfury was quickly outdated but I was still determined to get my hands on it, there was no way I'd let myself be beaten by a level 60 raid dungeon! I managed to get a raid most weeks and kill Geddon, and as our TBC raiding progressed and our gear improved we needed less and less people for fast Molten Core runs. However the Binding still did not drop.Eventually I gave up. It wasn't going to drop, not for me. I'd been there a hundred times by now and I'd seen Garr drop his Binding three times by then, but never Geddon. After a month without Molten Core I got a whisper inviting me to a Molten Core raid. I was about to turn him down when I thought again and remembered that determination I'd had to obtain the second Binding. So I tagged along. I tanked the snakes, the dogs, the rocks and then the Baron. I opened the loot window and saw orange. Finally, the second Binding had dropped, and not in a guild run skipping straight to Geddon but in a random pickup-group intent on killing Ragnaros
The most epic loot Ive ever received would have to be the Drakefire Amulet from the very long quest line to be able to enter Onyxias lair, Once I got it It was the best item in the world and still is. The quest chain is also amazing!
