For me, my epic loot was getting Chucks Bucket from the second time I EVER did the fishing daily. I'm rarely lucky, so getting that was awesome! I now have that little guy follow me all over =). Others in my guild had done the daily a ton of times and never picked it up!
i was just questing in northrend, and i didn't even know it was a daily. i had completed a daily quest in one of the nidvallir places and got the white war bear thingy :D so happy
My favorite epic item would have to be Perdition's Blade.I was using the old AV dagger forever, and on our first Rag kill it dropped :P
My most epic loot was just recently, when i was leveling in the Borean Tundra trying to complete the quest achievement. I was on vent with my buddies telling them about how I was just about to finish the achievement. After I was done my excited rant my friend Mike said "Geddeh, NOBODY CARES!" We all laughed and I went to loot one of the robots I had just killed. When the loot box opened I looked over the items and saw http://www.wowhead.com/?item=36812. I couldn't stop laughing. Now I keep one in my bag so if I see something completely useless in General Chat I can just link it for a few laughs. =3
I had always wanted the Sonic Spear. I had run the Shadow Labyrinth over twenty times now, and had begun PuGging members for the run because my guild had all gotten what they needed from there. Finally, on my twenty-first run, it dropped. But during the fight with Murmur., I released to begin my sixth corpse run(we had a little bit of trouble with the boss). But as soon as I arrived at the graveyard, I see in capital, light blue letters: WE KILLED HIM. I was excited, but that was shot down quickly. Soon after reading that someone else typed in capital letters: WHO LOOTED HIM?. Turns out, yeah, someone looted him before I got into the instance. Also turns out the Sonic Spear dropped. Someone had also already rolled Greed on the Spear to disenchant it. No one else wanted it, and since I wasn't there, the dis enchanter got it. And disenchanted it. It was the first time I had ever gotten that angry. They offered me the shard, but I was too angry at all of the them to even consider it. I told them to keep their shard, I didn't want it. Not anymore. Eventually our guild started running Karazhan, and I was among the first chosen to go in. When we downed the Opera Event, Legacy dropped. I rolled against two other hunters, and got 100 to win it for myself. I was happy, but I still wanted that Sonic Spear. I would have it, even if it had eluded me all this time. After the Kara raid, I took 4 other guild members with me to easily down all the bosses before Murmur with no one dieing, not even on the trash. Quickly dispatching the trash before Murmur, we prepared for engaging Murmur himself. Once we all had our food buffs, we ran in. It was the fastest I had ever seen him die. And once we looted him, he dropped the Sonic Spear. Everyone /cheered at me, and I cheered too. Everyone passed on the Spear, and I rolled Need on it to get another 100. To this day, even at 80, I still have this spear. I think of it as a symbol of how I never gave up on running that accursed instance.
