Seeing as I use
this
, I try to keep up a 5s/5r rotation as it maximises the uptime of the talisman's proc. I don't use eviscerate. If I'm at 5/5 CP and both slice and dice and rupture are up, I generally continue sinister striking to prevent an energy cap out, until either slice and dice or rupture are close to dropping (this is a more damage efficient method as you aren't dumping your combo points).
Okay.
Now, here is a problem I keep coming up against; the guild I joined with my Rogue (Mind you, I've been raiding with my Warrior and Mage for three years.) told me to take my two piece T4, and do 1s/5r rotations. After the first time I start timers, I can't get five combo points before SnD runs out, and on the other side if I save up for a full Rupture, SnD has worn off. Suggestions?

2s/5r
Okay. I'll give it a shot and see how that works.
Typically speaking, what is your average DPS from a WWS parse, or even better, do you have one I can look at?

I've not been raiding for a few weeks due to an increased workload at uni. We only started recording WWS a week or two ago, as far as I know I've not appeared in any.
DPS depends on fight... if memory serves I pulled about 2.4k on Teron (luckily I wasn't ghosted).

Alrighty.
When the servers come back up, I'll grab a servant in Blasted Lands and see how the rotation goes. Thanks for the advice thus far.
Edit:
Seems as if I'm not going to get the results with my build, because I'm missing two key features in the "raiding build" I'd use, but I'm currently setup for PVP. I don't have Imp. SnD nor Combat Potency, so I'm going to be off on my timers. I suppose I could respec for the sake of testing, but would you find it safe to say that if I'm only off by a second or two on my timers, that I'd be near "spot on" with the proper build?

You're taking an enormous performance hit from not having combat potency and improved slice and dice.

Right, but that's just for the sake of testing. When I go into raids, I have the "cookie cutter" Combat Swords build. It's just for right now I am Shadowstep and am missing those, hence why my testing is failing. I'm pretty sure that is where my problem is.
Edit:
I'll respec and see where I am, results to come.

That would almost certainly be the cause.

Wait, he said that stam is a good stat for lvling, but he didnt put in any points into vitality in the combat tree in the lvling spec
Not so much that you'd drop two talent points to get more. The bonus is minimal when you're in levelling gear anyway, so the points are better spent elsewhere.

I'll be fiddling with the spec section in preparation for 2.4, you may notice a few changes soon.

Yes, providing you switch out the vendor gems for proper cuts.

Your friend is mistaken, that change didn't affect fist/sword's functionality in the slightest - it doesn't even relate to it.
Put those weapons into a spreadsheet and see which spec/wep combo offers you the highest DPS. You can find the spreadsheets in the first post of this thread.

The difference in your case is extremely minimal. If you want to use the paw then go ahead, you won't be gimping yourself any.
