It's fool?
...
You mean... It's dumb?
Who says "It's fool"
Stop failing plz.
Anyways, tell your friend to run repair.exe if he's on a windows machine, or to reinstall if he's on a mac. I haven't personally encountered or heard anything about this, but that might fix it.

I would suggest making a post in technical support on the official WoW forums. Your gonna get more help there than you would here.

Blizzard is doing some serious Kung-Fu on the sound and audio area of the wow client. I'd suggest you make sure your friend is using the latest drivers for all of their hardware and pay special attention to the audio drivers.
It should also be noted that many people have been losing all audio and, in some cases, causing system crashes due to audio setting being wrong. Nothing has to have changed on your end, Blizzard has apparently (and hopefully temporarily) stopped using any and all hardware acceleration for audio hardware. Make sure your friend's system is set up for "Desktop stereo speakers" and not something like 5.1 Surround or similar.
Start ~> Control Pannel ~> Sounds and Audio Devices ~> Speaker Settings (Volume Tab) Advanced (Button) ~> Speaker Setup (Dropdown Menu)
This is the only major client vs. end user change I've seen since patch, so there is a good chance it's tied to the fatal errors some people are having. It's just a hypothisis, so don't flam me if it doesen't work. Good luck!

I and a friend both had this happen we talked to a Tech and they did some bliz mobo jumbo and hit enter and fixed what ever it was for both of us... I dont know why but I could log onto an alt but the messing with the vid settings did me no good. All it took was for them to do something on my spicific account settings or something. (it was just that one char)
