Well, basicly all the items if ''gray'' name are useless, you can just sell them to vendor. As priest you cant use leather item or mail, or plate. You can only use cloth. To use ure wand open ure spellbook and you will find a abillity called ''Shoot'' in general tab. Place it on your hotbar and when you click on it you will shoot with your wand. But you have to stand still. Also, i dont know if you already done that but, if you press ''N'' you can choose talents, they improve you spells, character and give you new spells. You get 1 talent point each level. For leveling a good talent tree is Shadow. You can also choose here at wowhead a talent tree editor, where you can ''build'' different talent trees.
Great homepage where you can lookup almost anything about wow is

You can also find here
http://www.wowwiki.com/Priest
alot of information about priests (and other classes). Like, short info about each of talent trees, tactics versus other classes and monsters, quick overview etc.
http://www.wowwiki.com/Category:Game_Terms
here is also usefull page where you can find game terms.
Like Gear = equipment
PvP= Player versus Player combat
PvE= Player versus envoirment combat, ''simply put, it is the player-controlled character (you) competing against the game''.
Mob= Monster
CC= ''Crowd Control refers to spells and abilities which limit an opponent's ability to fight, and is abbreviated CC. CC abilities are used to reduce the number of mobs that the group fight at once.'' quoted from wowwiki.
there is also some guides to get you started. About dungeons (instances), proffesions, battlegrounds, well basicly anything.
