I suffered a big disappointment last night. After a steady progression up the DPS curve, I ended up where I was two or three weeks ago. In essence my DPS for our last raid was off about 25%. Now I was feeling under the weather and my concentration was a bit off, but I thought I was holding up pretty well. We also didn't have our boomkin along so my crit percentage was lower than it has been during that period.
So my question is this. Lets say that you run your normal rotation and such but are a few fractions of a second slower. Is that and a 5% reduction in crit enough to account for a 25% dps swing for a FFB spec mage? Or should I be looking for other factors?

Thanks for your feedback. Its pretty much what I thought as well. One of our guys posts the WWS. I always look at them. I'll crawl through them tonight and see what the data show. If I find anything conclusive I'll let you know.
