I have a simple reply to this question.
I would prefer to be Frost PvP simply because I love the fact that I can literally stop all movement on the field using a good Frost Nova//CoC rotation in conjunction with my pet.

Either fire or frost, or a combination of both.
Frost for the large amount of control it gives you, fire for burst AoE damage.
Certainly
not
arcane because it's really boring and I hate it and, in my opinion, only the players with no skill choose it. I went arcane once because it was so effective in 2 vs. 2 arenas, and sure it worked well, but it was so boring... fire and frost are just so much more fun to play.

Frost ftw. All of the freeze effects in PvP I think are fun. At level 12 my Frost Mage saved the flag from twink rogues, and I'm very proud of the early ablilities I posess as a Frosty.

I´d be "elemental", half frost half fire, since that´s how I´m lvling ATM, and I did pretty well when I stopped to pvp for a while at 70.
I just want at reason to use BOTH frost and fire spells, not specializing in one. Though there is none in raiding/instancing ATM :(
That, or a frost based FFB build, even though I haven't aquired FFB yet.
Then again, this is assuming all speccs would do the same dps, including these "non-standard" builds, that suffer from way lower dps than others currently (i think, haven´t run any instance since OL and I haven't taken the time to check against a dummy)

I play arcane. Top, middle or worst that is what I like. As many people can tell form my very disgruntled attitude about the recent arcane nerfs.
If nothing else its the feel that that ss what a mage should be, the master of the arcane. Leave the fire and frost to shamans and lesser casters. Arcane is the lifeblood of magic.
There is just too much fun things in arcane and the feel of the play is awesome. Plus purple is the greatest color. :)
