well, there was always a cooldown which prevented people from using both in most cases. it puts them in line with the potion change anyway.

It just occurred to me that as the Soulwell lasts 3 minutes, in a fight where you're taking AoE damage casting the Ritual just before you engage will give you time to grab a second healthstone after you've used the first.
Of course the fight needs to be long enough that it's off CD before the boss is dead, but has anyone tried this?

True, I was thinking more of hardcore raiders than the rabble that are strollin' round Naxx these days, but I take your point.
I wonder how many people besides 'locks (and maybe tanks) have their healthstone key-bound?

lol. this is a dead discussion due to it no longer being in the game but i think that point was always to give the various strengths of HS to your raid, not just yourself.
it wasn't much of an advantage but it was something we all did in tBC and allowed the tank to use multiple HSs and potions through a fight and allowed the mana users to use a mana potion without having to worry about saving the cooldown for health potions etc.
it was all the rage back then so i don't really understand why you're arguing that it was a dreadful idea now it's been patched out.

i don't care about the argument, that's all by the by. just seems an odd thing to disagree with and an odd time to do it.
rereading the thread, i'm not sure what area of game play you're talking about. you seem to concede that it may have been a good idea in raids. well, i'm telling you that it
was
a good idea in raids and guilds would organize their warlocks to be sure they had 3 healthstones. it's all about the raid and not at all about the warlock so the idea of making yourself another one isn't pertinent.
...in fact, i (as a purely PvE lock) can't remember the last time i conjured a single HS. now
that
seems like a terrible waste. why make one HS when you can make 25 (or 10 back then)
