i have only been playing WoW for a couple of weeks now and im about to reach lvl58 with little to no help from any one and latley i have been getting a few whispers from people asking me to power lvl them.
so my question is how do you actually power lvl some one? cause from my understanding ( i think some one told me so i might be totally wrong :) ) you have to be in the mobs lvl range to gain exp? so how do you power lvl some one who is 20-30 lvls lower than you?
Thanks for any replys.

Mots power levels are lvl 1 who ask a higher level character( I.E. a lvl 70) to grind them all the way to their certain lvl point. to do it get in party find mobs for the person you are power leveling and just kill them so that the other person gets xp. it's best to be a class with AoE attacks so you can can round them all up and AoE them to death. at least, thats how someone did it to me lol

a low level gets less xp for the kills (than if they killed the mob themselves) because the high level killed them, but the kills-per-hour is ridiculously high.
for best results, help the lowbie finish kill quests.
... this is good to know for helping friends. random requests get /ignore

As others have stated, they will get a low amount of experience for kills when you kill them; the real key is to help them complete quests they otherwise might not be able to do without grinding levels through random killing.
Additionally, when they get to the appropriate level range you can start running them through instances (Deadmines is a good starter), not only for the kill XP and quests but also to gear them up with good gear at relatively low levels. I have a friend who hit 40 the Saturday before New Years; we had a LAN party from Monday evening through New Years Day, and by the end of it (a couple of SM runs, several Ulda runs, and a Mara run) he was hugely geared and had hit level 44.
