Hi , i am fresh-dinged 80 mage(one more forgotten alt huhu)and i have read all mage stickies
i would like to introduce you a fire specc i made. Its a PvP specc
First of all i would like to unstuck people from these "Wanna-be"Fame PvE and PvP builds.Yes most of them are highly effective and i suggest them. But some people doesnt like them like i dont like the Pom-Pyro build.
So here is
this
This build has many benefits. Many instant spells that can stun slow Heavy nuke damage and pure survability.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets say you are facing a warrior. You can always start with a instant pyro(the one that i don't like :]).He intercepts.Dragons breath , cone of cold , blink , Instant flamstrike(it sounds stupid but belive me it works)Fire blast , he comes close you do Blast wave and then again Instant flamestrike . Frost nova Fireball and i suppose the warrior will be dead..
Meanwhile there are plenty more skills that can be used Like Blazing speed , Hot streak for instant pyro , Impact , Silence.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Comments , suggestions , feedbacks(flaming), etc.

I don't think you will die a lot with all these skills that will help you survive...if you only think blazing speed procc its terrific.you can know back stun nuke absorb silence.. what more you need? you can easily kill 2 guys at the same time with that specc..

Survivabilly is not the problem with fire, you still able to cast FN, invis, mana shield, ice block, plus u have some new fire survival talents.
The problem with fire the high mana cost of ur spells.

Another thing, why do you go torment the weak ? this talent has no effect on ur spells. don't tell me ur going to cast fire balls in pvp :P that is not an option.

I think that yes you can cast at least 1 fireball. At least if you can start with poly or within novas and dragon breath you will find the time for 1 at least fireball.
I understund about the high mana cost but for a 2vs2 this is just terrific. If you can get 1 of 2 down fast then you won , and thats exactly what this build can do.
All opinions approved.

Problem is control and survivability. Once you get a hang of the specc and how to play it right you'll probably annihilate everything and anyone in your path(ok, a bit exaggerated, but it's powerful). Then again, becoming a skilled fire mage can be very very hard :p

Dude he dont even have improved fireball ? so you think its worth wasting 3 talents for 1 single fireball in arena ? And if u alrdy got ur enemy with a 8 or 6 sec polymoprh why the hell not cast a pyroblast instead? dude ur enemies must be braindead if they allow u to stand and cast fireballs. No offence!

I think you will be able to cast one fireball man , really ,lets say that you play with a healer on you or 2 mages(that is what i like much ^^)
well with 1 healer you will not be able to use more than 1 fireball thats true but if you play 2 mages then its pure death.Someone will be always polymorphed/stunned and the other always silenced.. plus you have many cc and survabilities as a mage.I think this build makes big sence as fire PvP.
You can always suggest changes ..

Tho You've made a little mistake in your example, since Cone of Cold and Dragon's Breath share a cooldown, but that dosn't change that the spec looks interesting!
No longer. They've split the cooldowns.
I can also confirm that Fireballs are useable after a Frost Nova/Dragon's Breath or Polymorph.Perhaps you're basing this on 1v1.
In 2, 3 or 5, they will focus you the second they find out you're Fire, because they know you can't take it. With that and the sheer amount of spell interrupts available to every class (especially the melee that dominate Arena), casting of any sort is not recommended.
You see, that's the problem. In a world where cast times open you up to lockouts and help melee close distance on you (a DK ever reaching you is a death sentence), Fire is a casting-based spec.
I have to agree totaly with you but thats why mage has blink , ice block , blazing speed , mirror image and MANY things that can help you!I was actually speaking for 2vs2 only sorry my mistake. In a 2vs2 trust me you gonna burn down everything specialy with a combo of 2 mages. If one could be frost for extra stuns then its perfection :)
