And in anyone's case. You think just because you don't believe in the Devil he's not going to stop screwing with you? That goes back to the math stuff. Just because you don't believe in math being true doesn't make it false.
Don't I have to believe in God to believe in the Devil?
I don't know. Do Satanist believe in God? I believe that Satan is real and I believe God is real, and I would have to say that if you are a true Christian you have to believe in the Devil. Anyways, just 'cause I don't belive in something doesn't make it not true. Like Columbus and sailing around the world.

Except the latter was science. He could have fallen off the face of the Earth (literally) and people would have said "Oh, the world
is
flat!" He had a hypothesis, he performed an experiment, and came up with data which supported that the world was round.
Is there a similar way to disprove that God exists; similarly, is there a way to prove that he does exist?

"An
UNBELIEVER'S
thoughts . . ."
and Jesus was just a man who had some good ideas, but his teachings were blown out of proportion (i.e. he said everyone was the "son of god" because we are all god's children, so therefore when he said, "I am the son of god" he was saying "I am a human," but in his own words)
Wow. I don't really know how to approach this statement it's so wrong.
and you have not experienced god, because, in his own words, "I will not prove my own existence," you may have experienced a good experience or an experience which your upbringing teaches you is "holy" but you have not experienced god
Are you referring to the part in the Bible where Jesus comes out of the Desert and Satan is tempting him and then he says don't tempt God to prove himself, because he won't do it. God does prove himself to people, and I have experienced Him. Maybe God doesn't show up with a boom of lightning and lots of thunderclouds and in a majestic voice say, I AM GOD! But that doesn't mean He doesn't prove himself.

Well, we can never
prove
with science to sceptics or non-believers that God exists, you have to accept on faith. But there is some evidence that points to God, unfortunately, most people discredit it.
Edit - sorry for the double post.

anything
.
But there is some evidence that points to God, unfortunately, most people discredit it.
Let's see it, and see if we can find legitimate way to discredit it, so-to-speak. Nothing out of the Bible, please.

Most of the evidence comes from the Bible. How about this, almost all the old histories speak of a great Flood. Explain that. Or Creation. I don't really know what to use as evidence that isn't out of the Bible. That's like saying prove such-and-such happened 300 years ago in Europe but no using any History texts. Also, I'm not theologian, I'm only a kid . . . :\

You just proved Skyfire's point perfectly, Queggy.

Sheep are easily led, sadly.
That's exactly why you think it doesn't exist, sadly. You're a sheep, being easily led.

How?
Edit- I have to go for now, so I can't discuss this for a bit. But I'll be back!

If the Bible is your only proof then why is it that it's your holy book that's correct, not the other thousand ones?

Creation's an evil one, but something we can work with. To start off, a couple questions: Creation of the universe? Creation of life? Creation of mankind? They all invariably lead to the creation of the universe, because we have theories which talk about the creation of mankind and of life. Similarly, there are theories on the creation of the universe. A la Big Bang. There are others of course. Would you like to bring up reasons to believe in God beginning the universe/life/man?
As for the flood, there are a few scientific theories out there as well, and we do know the flood actually happened, just nothing of Biblical proportions.
I don't really know what to use as evidence that isn't out of the Bible. That's like saying prove such-and-such happened 300 years ago in Europe but no using any History texts.
As noted above, there are other "histories" as written by other cultures. Judaism and Islam come to mind as the easiest 'contemporaries', but what happens when you look at faith in ancient China, or faith in Greece? They wrote down what they thought about creation too; what makes theirs wrong?
Also, I'm not theologian, I'm only a kid . . . :\
You're old enough to reason, which means you're old enough to ask why, which means you're old enough to argue without turning to the primary source. Don't use "I'm not the person to talk to" as a copout.
