I'm currently 74 (I respeced from prot to holy at 65) and I'm using this build:
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxA0gMzhVuMxRtZVf0xbhBut yeah Beacon of Light is an extremely usful talent for healing instances. Without it we have no aoe heal, asside from Glyphed Holy Light which has a very limited range.
Also Holy Guidence is definetly a talent you want to max out. Remember: Int is a Holy Pallys Bread and Butter. :p

Just a fun side track. If you aren't opposed to having points in ret. You can try this build.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sxA0xM0hZZVfbtbIzc0c- This is based around you being in holy gear, not ret gear.
You can also go with AoW so your crit judgements give you an instant flash of light since this won't include holy shock until 76 or 77. You can go with SotP for more judgement damage as well.
http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=sEA0hZZVfbtbIzcMc- This would lean more toward output, and your remaining points would be put toward building your holy tree.
This gives you tons, TONS of regen, and you can literally aoe grind 15-20 mobs no problem(as long as they don't stun/silence/interupt). Then you just move on to the next ones. No drinking involved(sounds nice eh?). You don't get the advantage of deep holy talents, but this is close to the PvP build(37/0/34), and the PvP build is the easiest solo holy build I've played.
If you manage to get low on mana, you simply just attack 1 or 2 mobs at once, and let JotW regen it for you.
Since I also healed every instance while leveling as ret, I'm sure you can get by healing normal instances with this build as well.
Just a little tidbit. This would be an odd build, but if you're determined to stay in holy gear, and grind as holy, this is actually a very possible way to go, and possibly faster than full holy while still giving you enough healing capability to heal normal instances.

IMO leveling holy is extremely boring, but that's not important to this topic. If you really want to be straight up holy then you need to AOE gring and etc. It's all covered in the above posts. Also, I agree that having points in ret is very helpful to the holy build but it will be a bit difficult to resist taking Divinity after the next patch and that's in the prot tree, which may make taking points in ret absolete. Also, it appears to me (IMO) that Blizzard wants holy paladins to be in conjuncture with melee to recieve the powerful healing bonuses that they get from getting in the front lines, you could try a build when you reach 80 that resembles this:
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?paladin=&version=9658#I put points into Heart of the Crusader so that you can give the benefit to a raid group that may not have a ret paladin. But when leveling, I suggest putting as many points into ret as possible.
