I'm not 100% sure why people are still talking about Arcane being overpowered. I switched to it because I enjoy it. Yeah sure slow is a nasty spell when you are on the other end of it, but pound for pound the FFB spec seems to be able to put up better dps for newer players (i.e. lesser gear), the Fire/Arcane spec seems to rock the charts whenever I see it in a raid. And Frost seems to be the only "viable" arena spec there is.

Where does Arcane fit in this? Right they can do some pretty decent dps on the raids but at the cost of being OOM REALLY quickly. Which means you have to balance rotations, cooldowns, and power ups.

You wanna talk about over powered? How about when we could ABx3, cast arcane missiles and then as that last missle leaves hitting the Arcane Barrage button for massive dps... that was redonculous on the dps meters. Or when Arcane Power, PoM, Icy Veins, Trinket, and Arcane Blast were all in one "I win button".

All of which they nerfed OUTSIDE OF A REAL PATCH! Granted I do agree they WERE pretty well overpowered but seeing as we got nerfed while noone even knew it till we tried to run our normal fights... yeah that kinda even's us out.

P.S. I really hope that the change in Slow (from 60 -> 40%) does NOT go through.

Its not in the currently updated PTR patch notes at the moment, but I know I read it a while ago that it was something Bliz was thinking about.

We've all seen some of the patch notes propose something then take it out of that patch and have it happen later... for example dual specs. I guess I should have been more clear in saying I dont want it to EVER happen. :-)
