*GASP* not relevant to the cooling I was referring to. Cool story brah, global cooling still occurs just because I did not reference it how you were talking about doesn't mean you can dismiss the one I am talking about.
... Right. Just because that occurs doesn't mean it has anything to do with the discussion at hand. I brought up global cooling as the 'other side of the coin' of global warming. It really isn't relevant at all. Grasp harder.
Because we are talking about global climate change thats how it is relative. Herp Derp brah.
Relative to the topic of climate change? Yes.
Relative to what I was talking about? No. The global cooling I'm talking about has absolutely nothing to do with humans. Unless you normally bring up off-tangent topics to support a non-relative topic during your discussions I can't really see why you'd bring it up at all.
Especially trying to use it as support.

Blowing up the governing body? Alright, that's tactical. Blowing up the centers of population of your prospective slave race? /facepalm
Break us. Psychological destruction. The aliens just curb stomped one of the most powerful countries on the planet, and probably one of the only ones ready to fight back, by virtue of a very large military with a very large budget, thus leaving the much more heavily populated countries open for slavery. America only has about 300,000,000 people or so, which isn't a huge fraction considering that Earth has 7,000,000,000 people or so on it.
Unnatural how? If it is only on Earth (as in, unnatural to the aliens) you'd be rather careful with the planet. If it is unnatural unnatural (as in, not in the natural universe) it shouldn't exist on Earth
Artificial elements.
Really? The website is SFW, so that's a bit weird. I mean, some of the articles will have links that go to places NreallySFW (no, not pr0n, just graphic things), but the article always tells you before-hand.
Probably the links. I'll take a look from my laptop later.
Edit: /flex. That's what you call a power derail.

You probably need it as well, so win-win.
I would imagine a truly inter-planetary species would run purely on fusion.
Then mop up and enslave. Heck, wait long enough and those humans start to infight.
They were already doing that, except for their stupidity (granted, it's been a bit since I've seen the movie)
going straight for the United States is like trying to take down a mugger by punching him in the knife. No, the goal should be to disarm the enemy. Then your work is much easier.
I disagree. The aliens pretty obviously rofl-stomped the US. It hardly put up a fight, and mostly won due to stupidity and lack of tactics on the aliens' part.

Global cooling is significantly small...
I thought had already been established, thus did not need to be discussed
wat.

lol.
Please, go read about it before standing by your (incorrect) statement. You're making yourself look foolish.

Good point, but wouldn't the inverted be much easier to do? Why waste recourses (which you desperately need) or ships when you can steal the recourses while weakening the entire planet? Target the highest demand recourses (oiiiillllllllll) and cut them off. You probably need it as well, so win-win. Then mop up and enslave. Heck, wait long enough and those humans start to infight.
As far as popculture tells us, aliens wouldn't need primitive resources like oil. They'd most likely have superior firepower like plasma and lasers, maybe even psychich abilities. Humans would initially be very afraid, because they don't know WTF those large spaceships are doing or where they came from. We would know nothing, so instinctually we'd be worried.
Epic derail Funden. Thread topic is now Global
S
warming.

No alien movie has been good... except maybe District 9, and I've never seen it (pissed btw. I really want to).

Alien movies?
Let's get back to talking about how carbon emissions are punching deadly holes in the sun!

Your not missing much.
Horrible reality acting imo.
District 9 was fantastic. One of the most realistic science fiction movies in a while. Also one of the only movies that has ever evoked an emotional response from me. The acting was great.
But what else do you expect from Peter Jackson?
